Dual Language Middle School
• Students will be taught a minimum of 500 minutes a week in Spanish, with potential of exploration of literature in Spanish. Spanish 3-4 (taught during iclass time) –
40 minutes a day in Spanish
Social Studies – 60 minutes a day in Spanish
ELA – potential of literature in Spanish(additional time in Spanish)
Allows students to choose 2 electives

Spanish High School Credit • Students will receive 2 years (Spanish 1-2 and 3-4) of
high school credit*
• 2 years of high school foreign language credit is minimum requirement for college bound students
• Students could be eligible in high school to take AP Spanish and receive college credit based on results and college acceptance
• Opportunity in high school for community college dual-enrollment
*Students who meet TUHSD’s requirements on the Spanish 3-4 exam or other language placement exam determined by TUHSD & KSD articulation agreement
TransitionAll Dual Language students will transition to
Norte beginning 2016- 2017 school year
