CAMPUSWEDNESDAY 3 MAY 2017 03

Bhavan’s celebrates International Mother Earth Day

Bhavan’s Public School celebrated the Interna-tional Mother Earth Day with great pomp and enthusiasm in all three campuses. The theme for the day was Environmental and Climate Literacy. Keeping the same message in mind,

a special assembly was conducted in which the ‘Green Panthers’ emphasised the magnitude of collective respon-sibility to promote harmony with earth by ‘Reuse, Reduce and Recycle’.

Mime was presented at the event and depicted the dangers of deforestation and its aftereffects.Director of administration, Anjana Menon, Headmistress and coor-dinators along with students planted the saplings and seeds in the garden. The main aim was to sensitise the students about tree plantation and the increasing environmental degradation.

The activities did exhort everyone gathered to save flora and fauna, soil and water from the unhealthy man-made practices. The Earth Anthem was sung by the students, showcasing care and responsibility towards Mother Earth.

KG students at Rajagiri organised Earth Day event

The KG students of Rajagiri school came on to the stage representing the Mother Earth, ani-mals and flowers. They looked sick and unhappy.

Enquiry was made as to why they were sad. Not know-ing the reason, they requested the doctor to come. The doctor gave them the much sought after medi-cine, pure drinking water. The pure water made all of them return to health and wellness.

The kids conveyed the message so effectively. Teacher Hema and coordinator Heena and Kajal, the HOD, helped them understand the relevance of observing Earth Day. They learned that the water and air have to be clean. Polluted water and air will make all ill and unhappy. They were inspired to take the decision that they would not do anything that would pollute the Mother Earth.

Finally they all had a beautiful dance together set to an enjoyable tune. They carried the message home in their minds and the roles they played inspired them remember the message for a long time.

FOOD WEDNESDAY 3 MAY 201708

Ellie Krieger The Washington Post

This brightly lemony quick bread, punctuated with gently crunchy poppy seeds, is sweet and ten-der enough to satisfy a

cake craving, but it does so in a much better-for-you way.

It is made with healthful olive oil, mostly of whole-grain flour and has much less refined sugar than similar recipes. The loaf is sweetened in part with honey, which not only lends a rich flavor and some antioxidant power, it also makes for an ultra-moist crumb. Because honey increases browning, the cake bakes at a lower temperature, which makes the top turn out level rather than with a high crown. But what you forgo in height you more than make up for with a gloriously deep golden-brown, caramelized crust.

To let the lemon flavor come through clearly and cleanly, I rec-ommend using both honey and olive oil that are mild and light in taste and color. This recipe is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up to enjoy with a cup of tea or to serve as part of a brunch spread.

Lemon Poppy Seed Bread10 servings (makes one 9-by-

5-inch loaf or two 5 1/2-by-3-inch loaves)

Ingredients1/3 cup olive oil (one that is light

in flavor and color), plus more for greasing the pan

1 cup whole-wheat pastry flour or regular whole-wheat flour

1/2 cup all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt2/3 cup granulated sugar1/3 cup honey (one that is light

in flavor and color)2 large eggs2 tablespoons freshly grated

lemon zest (from about 3 large lemons)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1/3 cup buttermilk, well shaken3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice2 tablespoons poppy seeds

StepsPreheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Brush or spray a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with a little oil. Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of the pan and place it inside.

Whisk together the whole wheat and all-purpose flours, bak-ing powder, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl.

Whisk together the sugar, honey, the 1/3 cup of oil and the eggs in a separate bowl until well incorporated, then stir in the lemon zest and vanilla extract.

Combine the buttermilk and lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup.

Alternate adding the dry ingre-dients and then the buttermilk mixture to the egg mixture, in two batches each, stirring after each

addition until just incorporated. Gently stir in the poppy seeds.

Pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly. Bake (middle rack) for 40 to 45 minutes, until browned and a wooden skewer inserted into center comes out clean. (The small loaves may need less baking time, and may dome slightly.) Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then dislodge from the pan (and paper) and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serv-ing or storing.

FOODWEDNESDAY 3 MAY 2017 09Martha Thomas The Washington Post

6 to 8 servings (makes 8 to 9 cups)

Silky smooth and a lovely pale shade of green, this is the soup to serve in starter-size portions at an elegant dinner party.

Here, chef Cindy Wolf of Char-leston in Baltimore recommends soaking asparagus in water to ensure it’s grit-free before cooking it in the broth, because the vegeta-ble grows in sandy soil.

Make Ahead: The soup can be refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat over low heat.

Ingredients4 bunches pencil-thin aspara-

gus, preferably local (about 3 1/2 pounds total; see headnote)

8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter

1 medium Spanish onion, cut into small dice (1 cup)

2 large shallots, cut into small dice (1/2 cup)

6 cups low-sodium chicken broth

Kosher saltFreshly ground black pepper1 cup heavy cream1/2 cup crème fraîche, for

garnishLeaves from 2 or 3 sprigs fresh

tarragon, chopped, for garnish

Steps

Cut off/discard the woody ends of the asparagus. Cut the asparagus stalks in half. Lay or stand the pieces in a pan full of cool water; let sit for 20 minutes (to let any grit fall out), then drain.

Melt the butter in a large, stain-less-steel soup pot over

medium-low heat. Stir in the onion and shallots until evenly coated; cook for 6 to 8 minutes, until trans-lucent; do not allow them to pick up any color.

Pour in the broth, then season lightly with salt and pepper. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring just to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 20 minutes.

Add the asparagus; increase the heat to medium-high. Once the mixture returns to a boil, cook for

about 5 minutes, or until the aspar-agus is al dente (firm to the bite.) Remove from the heat.

Working in batches, transfer the soup mixture to a blender with the center knob of its lid removed. Place a paper towel over the open-ing to prevent splashups. Puree until smooth, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a heatproof bowl. Discard the solids.

Heat the cream in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat; bring just to a boil, then stir in the

strained asparagus puree. Turn off the heat. Taste and adjust the sea-soning, as needed.

Whisk together the creme fra-iche and chopped tarragon in a bowl; garnish each portion of soup with a dollop. Serve warm.

HEALTH WEDNESDAY 3 MAY 201710

While sunscreens are known to pro-tect against skin cancer, they may be inadvertently making you defi-

cient in Vitamin D, causing muscle weakness and bone fractures, researchers warned.

According to the study, published in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Asso-ciation, nearly one billion people worldwide may be having deficient or insufficient lev-els of Vitamin D due to inadequate sun exposure related to sunscreen use.

“People are spending less time outside and, when they do go out, they’re typically wearing sunscreen, which essentially nul-lifies the body’s ability to produce Vitamin D,” said Kim Pfotenhauer, Assistant Profes-sor at Touro University in California.

“While we want people to protect them-selves against skin cancer, there are healthy, moderate levels of unprotected sun expo-sure that can be very helpful in boosting Vitamin D,” Pfotenhauer said.

In addition, the study also showed that

chronic diseases like Type 2 Diabetes and those related to malabsorption, including kidney disease, Crohn’s and celiac disease greatly inhibit the body’s ability to metab-olise Vitamin D from food sources.

Considered a hormone rather than a vitamin, Vitamin D is produced when skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D plays a wide role in the body’s functions, including cell growth modulation, neuromuscular and immune function and inflammation reduc-tion. Spending as much as five-30 minutes in midday sun twice per week may help increase and maintain healthy Vitamin D levels.

However, it is important to forgo sun-screen during these sessions because SPF 15 or greater decreases Vitamin D3 produc-tion by 99 per cent, the researchers said.

“You don’t need to go sunbathing at the beach to get the benefits. A simple walk with arms and legs exposed is enough for most people,” Pfotenhauer noted.

The more weight obese and overweight individ-uals lose, the better it could be for their knee joints, new research sug-

gests. Being overweight or obese can place extra pressure on joints and cartilage, causing them to wear away. In addition, people with more body fat may have higher blood lev-els of substances that cause inflammation in the joints, raising the risk for osteoarthritis.

“For this research, we analysed the differences between groups with and without weight loss,” said the study’s lead author Alexandra

Gersing from the University of Cal-ifornia, San Francisco, US.

“We looked at the degeneration of all knee joint structures, such as menisci, articular cartilage and bone marrow,” Gersing said.

The study, published online in the journal Radiology, invoved 640 overweight and obese patients who had risk factors for osteoarthritis or MRI evidence of mild to moder-ate osteoarthritis.

The research team investigated the association between weight loss and the progression of cartilage changes on MRI over a 48-month period. Data was collected from the

Osteoarthritis Initiative, a nation-wide research study focused on the prevention and treatment of knee osteoarthritis in the US.

Patients were categorised into three groups - those who lost more than 10 per cent of their body weight, those who lost five to 10 per cent of their body weight, and a control group whose weight remained stable.

The results showed that patients with five per cent weight loss had lower rates of cartilage degenera-tion when compared with stable weight participants.

In those with 10 per cent weight

loss, cartilage degeneration slowed even more. Not only did the researchers find that weight loss slowed articular cartilage degen-eration, they also saw changes in the menisci.

Menisci are crescent-shaped fibrocartilage pads that protect and cushion the joint.

“The most exciting finding of our research was that not only did we see slower degeneration in the articular cartilage, we saw that the menisci degenerated a lot slower in overweight and obese individu-als who lost more than five percent of their body weight,” Gersing said.

Meditate 10 minutes daily & focus better

Finding it hard to concentrate? Meditat-ing just 10 minutes daily can help prevent your mind from wandering and

reduce repetitive, anxious thoughts, research-ers say. Mindfulness is commonly defined as paying attention on purpose, in the present moment and without judgement, and medi-tating would help you achieve just that.

The study found that developing an aware-ness of the present moment reduced incidents of repetitive, off-task thinking -- a hallmark of anxiety.

“Our results indicate that mindfulness training may have protective effects on mind wandering for anxious individuals,” said Men-gran Xu, a researcher and doctoral student at the University of Waterloo in Canada.

“We also found that meditation practice appears to help anxious people to shift their attention from their own internal worries to the present moment - external world, which enables better focus on a task at hand,” Xu added. The study, detailed in the journal Con-sciousness and Cognition, assessed the impact of meditation with 82 participants who expe-rienced anxiety.

The participants were asked to perform a task on a computer while experiencing inter-ruptions to gauge their ability to stay focused on the task. “Mind wandering accounts for nearly half of any person’s daily stream of con-sciousness,” Xu said. For people with anxiety, repetitive off-task thoughts can negatively affect their ability to learn, to complete tasks, or even function safely, the researchers said.

BOLLYWOODWEDNESDAY 3 MAY 2017 11

Actress Deepika Padu-kone had broken down on the sets of S a n j a y L e e l a

Bhansali’s directorial “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” due to last-minute changes in the dialogues, says Garima Wahal, who co-wrote the 2013 film with Siddharth Singh.

The two writers’ dialogues have been mouthed by celeb-rities like Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Did anyone struggle while delivering dialogues penned by them? “Usually, actors find

it really easy to say our lines. We try and accomodate it in their world. That’s why it becomes important for writ-ers to narrate their own scripts to the actors,” Singh said.

Wahal pointed out that back in 2013, on the sets of “...Ram-Leela”, Deepika didn’t have a smooth day because

of their dialogues.“It was Day 1 of shoot for

her. Deepika had broken down because of some last-minute changes in the dialogues. Last-minute changes are a favourite thing with Sanjay sir. We guess he does it to derive a certain spontaneity out of actors and to break their rhythm.”

“She’s usually very good with memorising her lines but the change meant completely upsetting her pattern. We sat with her that entire day and worked the lines till she got fully comfortable with that.”

‘Baaghi 2’ to release in April 2018

The second installment of the “Baaghi” franchise is slated to release on April 27 next year. Starring Tiger Shroff,

“Baaghi 2” is directed by choreographer and director Ahmed Khan. Tiger took to Twit-ter, where he shared the first look of the film’s poster and captioned it: “Here we go...again...’Baaghi 2’ Sajid Nadiadwala, Ahmed Khan, NGEMovies, Fox Star Hindi.” The first look of “Baaghi 2” suggests that the film will be an actioner. In the poster, a man with a well-chiselled body holding a gun with his back towards the camera, can be seen. Khan also shared the look on his offi-cial Twitter account and captioned it:

“’Baaghi 2’ -- Here we come with our first look for you lovely people.”

Filmmaker S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahu-bali 2: The Conclusion” has upped the bar for box office earnings for Indian

films by amassing `4bn plus world-wide in its opening weekend since its release on April 28, according to trade experts.

The second part in the “Baahu-bali” franchise — a fantasy drama about a fictional kingdom — has rewritten box office records, and how. After zooming past the `100 crore mark on its first day of hitting screens in India, the much-awaited movie which piqued the interest of viewers with the question ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?’, has kept the audience coming in to find out the answer.

The film, featuring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah in the lead, released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam in over 6,500 screens across India, and in 9,000 plus screens worldwide.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has presented the Hindi dubbed version of the film, tweeted: “His-toric Weekend! Here is the Hindi language all-India Friday (`41 crore), Saturday (`40.5 crore), Sun-day (`46.5 crore). Grand total `128 crore.”

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “The wave is unstoppable.

‘Baahubali 2’ creates new record.” Adarsh pointed out how the open-ing weekend figures of the Hindi version of “Baahubali 2: The Con-clusion” had surpassed Bollywood biggies such as Salman Khan’s “Sul-tan” and Aamir Khan’s “Dangal”.

“Sultan” had minted `105.53 crore upon a Wednesday release, and “Dangal” amassed `107.01 crore, he said.

Down south, the response has been tremendous. In Telugu states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the earnings are estimated to be beyond `100 crore. “Going by estimates, the film could have easily grossed over `100 crore from Telangana and And-hra. It has already broken every

record of all other big Telugu films,” trade analyst Anand Vanga said.

Trinath, another trade analyst, said there’s no stopping the film at the box office. “With no competi-tion, the film is making a killing at the ticket window. It could be the first Telugu film to even gross over `200 crore only from Telangana and Andhra. For the next two weeks, the film will have an uninterrupted run at the cinemas,” he said.

In Tamil Nadu, where the film released in nearly 650 screens, it is estimated that the film might have grossed over `30 crore in its open-ing weekend. “Sources from within the industry say that the film could have raked in over `30 crore in the state.

In Kerala, according to the

film’s distributor Global United Media, the film has reportedly grossed over `20 crore in the first three days.

In the US, the film was released via Great India Films, who said in a statement that the film has minted $10.49m (`68 crore).

Released in over 1100 screens in the US, the film made it to 40 IMAX screens, the highest ever for an Indian film. From other parts of the world, the film is said to have collected `71 crore in its first three days, trade gurus said.

If the social media buzz and unconfirmed reports are anything to go by, even before its theatrical release, “Baahubali 2: The Conclu-sion” had reportedly earned close to `500 crore from television rights and territory-wise distribution within the country.

The Hindi theatrical rights fetched the makers `120 crore, and in Andhra and Telangana, the film earned the makers `130 crore from the sale of its theatrical rights.

In Tamil Nadu, the film was sold for `47 crore, according to indus-try insiders, while theatrical rights to the movie in Kerala and Karna-taka are said to have been sold for `10 crore and ̀ 45 crore respectively. However, there is no official con-firmation on these numbers.

Film provocateur Michael Moore will make his the-atrical debut in a one-man show that explores the rise of US

President Donald Trump and the resistance to him, producers announced.

“The Terms of My Surrender,” which will open in previews on July 28 at the Belasco Theatre on Broad-way, was described as “an exhilarating, subversive one-man show guaranteed to take audiences on a ride through the United States of Insanity.”

The show will explain how Trump emerged and “where best to dine before crossing over the

mountains with the Von Trapp fam-ily into Canada,” the Belasco Theatre said in a statement, in an allusion to flight from Nazi-ruled Austria in “The Sound of Music.”

“To unseat a president, it will take an act of Broadway,” it said.

Moore, who had his start as a print journalist, has combined staunch left-wing activism with humorous personal asides in films such as “Bowling for Columbine,” which tackles US gun culture, and

“Fahrenheit 9/11” which took aim at former president George W. Bush’s

“war on terror.”Known for his slovenly look and

ever-present baseball cap, Moore lives in his home state of Michigan. He accurately predicted last year that such industrial Midwestern

states would swing the election to Trump at a time when most pun-dits thought the billionaire mogul stood no chance against Hillary Clinton.

“The Terms of My Surrender”

will be directed by Michael Mayer, who collaborated with punk rock-ers Green Day on their politically charged musical “American Idiot” and won a Tony Award for Duncan Sheik’s rock musical “Spring Awakening.”

“I think what the world needs right now is Michael Moore stand-ing on a Broadway stage sharing his hilarious stories and incendiary political perspective, creating the kind of dialogue that can only hap-pen in the theater,” Mayer said in a statement. Nonetheless, Broadway can be unforgiving to famous names who try to make it. Pop star Sting and TV host Rosie O’Donnell are among celebrities whose live productions have struggled in recent years.

Actor Dwayne Johnson, who is filming for Brad Peyton’s directorial “Rampage”, has

revealed the movie’s details. The filming of “Rampage” has been under way since last week in Atlanta.

Johnson shared some details about the upcoming film adapta-tion of the classic arcade game on his Instagram account on April 30.

Accompanied by a workout photo of himself, he posted: “Good to finally have boots on the ground here in Georgia for production of

‘Rampage’. I head up an anti-poaching unit out of Rwanda. My best friend is a rare albino gorilla named, George.

“Very bad people infect George, an alligator and a wolf with a serum. All three animals grow at an unprecedented rate. Their size, speed, agility and violent aggres-sion is off the charts. They go on a deadly rampage and want to destroy the world.

“George not happy. Me not happy. When animals like you, they lick you. When they don’t like you, they kill you. I will hunt down the bad people who did this to my

best friend. And when I find them, I will not lick them.

“We have the best VFX monster making team (WETA) on the planet. Our actors and crew have been working very hard to raise the monster genre bar. As always, let’s have some fun. Let’s shoot,” the 44-year-old added. “Rampage” also features Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Actor Malin Akerman has joined the cast as the villain who infects the gorilla, alligator and wolf with the serum that will cause rapid growth and induced rage. The movie is set release next year.

Depp suffers from spending disorder?

Actor Johnny Depp is suffering from “compulsive spending dis-order” and may need to be medically examined, according to latest court claims from his former management company.

The legal documents, filed by Joel and Robert Mandel of the Man-del Co on Monday, claim that Depp’s “ultra-extravagant lifestyle” cost $2m a month, “which he simply could not afford”, before he fired the Management Group in March 2016, reports variety.com. The firm “did everything possible to protect Depp from his own irre-sponsible and profligate spending”, according to the lawsuit. Depp is said to have spent more than $75m to acquire and improve on 14 residences -- including a chain of islands in the Bahamas, multiple houses in Hollywood and a 45-acre chateau in the South of France.

“In retrospect, it appears that Depp may suffer from a compulsive spending disorder, which will be proven in this action through a mental examination,” wrote attorney Michael Kump in the com-plaint. In January, Depp had sued his former management company for fraud.

Val Kilmer is ‘healing of cancer’

After months of denying he was sick, actor Val Kilmer has con-firmed he had cancer and is now doing fine. The first hint that Kilmer was ill came in 2015 when he was spotted at UCLA

Medical Center. Then in November, fellow actor and friend Michael Douglas mentioned that Kilmer was fighting throat cancer. Kilmer, at that time, said he never had cancer and that Douglas was “mis-informed”. But last week during a “Ask Me Anything” session, Kilmer came clean, reports pagesix.com. “A while ago, Michael Douglas claimed you had terminal cancer,” one fan asked. “What was the story behind that?” Kilmer answered: “He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen although healing all the time. Because I don’t sound my normal self yet peo-ple think I may still be under the weather.

TECHNOLOGYWEDNESDAY 3 MAY 2017 13

With the Facebook-owned Instagram’s popular ‘Stories’ fea-ture going dark, the

users almost broke into tears early yesterday, with some bombarding the micro-blogging website Twit-ter with outrageous posts.

“I thought World War 3 had finally come”, “Almost a heart attack” and

“Instagram Down will be the most frustrating part of my week” were some of the reactions that hapless Instagrammers tweeted after ‘Sto-ries’ experienced a bug.

For the third time in 10 days, Instagram, which has 700 million users, experienced a problem that began late Monday night.

According to a report in CNET, the Facebook-owned photo and video sharing app tweeted that it was aware of the problem and was working to fix it.

There was no further official word from the company about whether the latest bug issue had finally been resolved.

This time, the bug prevented the

‘Stories’ users — over 200 million — from updating the feature that lets them post photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours.

#instgramdown started trend-ing and users came out with numorous jokes and memes.

“#Instagram crashed this morn-ing resulting in your breakfast going

cold! :P,” a user tweeted, referring to people’s habit of posting a story before they eat anything.

Another user said: “#instagram-down was the best thing to happen on twitter.”

Although people were unable to update posts, they could still view their previously uploaded images

and other people’s stories which had some time remaining to be

‘expired’.The last time a bug sent the

users into a tizzy was on April 27 when people complained of the app having crashed, among other issues.

On April 24, users complained about app’s news feed not loading, apparently because of an issue with its servers.

‘Stories’ was introduced in Insta-gram in 2016 after it became famous on its rival photo and video sharing platform Snapchat.

After watching the efforts pay off, Facebook later rolled out the same feature in Whatsapp and Facebook mobile app as well.

Last week, Instagram announced that it now has more than 700 million users, with the last 100 million joining the platform in only four months. “We’re thrilled to announce that our community has grown to more than 700 mil-lion Instagrammers. And the last 100 million of you joined faster than ever,” the company wrote in a blog.

Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed a

device that can measure the walk-ing speed of people with 95 to 99 percent accuracy using wireless signals, without requiring that the person wear or carry a sensor.

A growing body of research suggests that how fast one walks could tell a lot about health issues like cognitive decline, falls, and even certain cardiac or pulmonary diseases. By measuring this emerg-ing vital sign, the new device, called “WiGait”, could help reveal a wealth of important health infor-mation, particularly for the elderly.

A change in walking speed, for example, could mean an injury or that the person is at an increased risk of falling, according to

Professor Dina Katabi of MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). The system, presented in a new paper, is an update of a device that Katabi’s team developed earlier.

The size of a small painting, the device can be placed on the wall of a person’s house. It builds on Katabi’s previous work that anal-yses wireless signals reflected off people’s bodies to measure a range of behaviours, from breathing and falling to specific emotions.

The signals emit roughly 100 times less radiation than a stand-ard cellphone, the researchers said.

“By using in-home sensors, we can see trends in how walking speed changes over longer peri-ods of time,” said lead author and PhD student Chen-Yu Hsu.

“This can provide insight into

whether someone should adjust their health regimens, whether that’s doing physical therapy or altering their medications,” Hsu said. The new device may offer improvements over existing sys-tems of measuring walking speed indoors.

Wearables like FitBit can only roughly estimate your speed based on your step count; GPS-enabled smartphones are similarly inaccu-rate and can’t work indoors; and cameras are intrusive and can only monitor one room at a time.

WiGait is also 85 to 99 per cent accurate at measuring a person’s stride length, which could allow researchers to better understand conditions like Parkinson’s disease that are characterised by reduced step size, according to the researchers.

Now Twitter to livestream video of concertsAfter successfully livestream-

ing sports and other major events on its platform, Twitter has now partnered with US-based live-events company Live Nation to exclusively livestream video of concerts.

The announcement was made at the NewFronts confer-ence in New York and said artists including Train, Portugal The Man, August Alsina and Marian Hill have been slated to have shows streamed on Twitter, Tech Crunch reported on Monday. The first will be Zac Brown Band’s per-formance, that will air on Saturday May 13. The announce-ment is part of Twitter’s new slate of live premium video con-tent that would include MTV Awards shows and coverage of Fashion Week in New York, Paris, London, and Milan.
