DALMIA SCHOOL MEET 2018 – REPORT
Day 1: SPIRITUAL DAY -20.11.2018
Competitions held:
(1) Inauguration (2) Morning Assembly Competition (3) Sanskrit Shlokas Competition
Dalmia Schools Meet symbolizes a feeling of togetherness, a time of happiness, an environment of thrill and excitement. The first day of DSM marked the inauguration of the event. Our CEO ma’am Dr. Rosetta Williams declared the meet open. It was followed by welcoming of all participating schools, Mr Shakti Singh, Officiating Principal, DVM, Chirawa welcomed and thanked all the participating seven schools of Dalmia for their presence. The inauguration function was presided by CEO Ma’am Dr. Rosetta Williams. The function was also graced by Dr. R. K. Dwivedi, Principal, DVM Rajgangpur (Odisha),Captain Das Pillai ,Principal, DVM, Dalmiapuram, (Tamil Nadu), Ms Usha Suresh Kumar, Principal, DPS, Sutrapada (Gujarat), Ms P. Chandra, Headmistress, DVM, Dalmiapuram (Tamil Nadu), Mr Manohran, Vice Principal, DHSS, Dalmiapuram (Tamil Nadu), Ms Gunjan Bansal, Admissions and Operation Head, Escort teachers and DVM, Chirawa Staff.
The first important competition of the day was MORNING ASSEMBLY COMPETITION. This competition was based on our motto Nyaya aur Swadharm se Rashtra. Dr Rosetta Williams, CEO Dalmia Schools graced the judge’s Chair. The theme was beautifully depicted by all the schools. Every team gave their best performance. Dalmia Vidya Mandir, Chirawa grabbed the laurels of this competition. Second and third positions were bagged by DPS, Sutrapada & DVM, Rajgangpur and DVM, Dalmiapuram respectively. The competition brought out the spirit of Nyaya and Swadharm of the students.
After a warm start of the day, everyone proceeded for lunch. The same evening had another exciting competition Sanskrit shloka chanting competition. The judges of this competition were- Mata Prasad Ji Shastri Rtd. Principal & Mr Kailash Principal Sanskrti College. This completion tested the lucidity, recitation and eloquence of the participating students. Two participants from each participating Dalmia School took part in it. All the participants filled the environment with spiritually and positive energy. The judges were inspired and were in awe by the students’ performance. They were of the opinion that Chanting Shlokas give positive energy to the mind and soul.
The result of the competition was as follows:
First position was bagged by DVM, Chirawa,
Second position was grabbed by DVM, Rajgangpur
Third position was bagged by DHSS, Dalmiapuram.
The invited Judges were honoured by mementos.
After this, the students had some fun with Nratya Manoranjan Karyakram. Various students showed full participation and gave beautiful performances and made the evening memorable.
The day ended with lot of fun, excitement, spirituality and positive energy.
Day 2nd of Happiness Day-21.11.2018
The second day of DSM with the pre scheduled itinerary. The students enjoyed their breakfast and kept themselves fit by morning yoga and aerobics. At 9.00 am the school auditorium was flooded with all the students of the participating schools as everyone was waiting for the next competition. The day was marked with English Debate Competition on the topic Environmental protection is more important than economic development.
The competition was chaired by CEO Ma’am Dr Rosetta Williams. The function was also graced by Mr Shakti Singh, Officiating Principal, DVM Chirawa, Dr R. K. Dwivedi, Principal, DVM Rajgangpur (Odisha), Captain Das Pillai, Principal, DVM, Dalmiapuram, (Tamil Nadu), Ms Usha Suresh Kumar, Principal, DPS, Sutrapada (Gujarat), Ms P. Chandra, Headmistress, DVM, Dalmiapuram(Tamil Nadu), Mr Manohran, Vice Principal, DHSS, Dalmiapuram (Tamil Nadu), Ms Gunjan Bansal, Admissions and Operation Head, Escort teachers and DVM, Chirawa Staff.
The judges of this competition were Mr Rohitash Dudi, Principal, GIS and Ms Durgesh Yadav, Principal, Sophia School.
The winning team was DVM, Chirawa,
The second position was secured by DPS, Sutrapada
The Third position was secured by DVM, Dalmiapuram.
Next Competition judged and tested the sports skill of the students. All the schools took part in Volleyball (boys and girls). After a much struggle and intense competition, DVM, Chirawa and DPS, Sutrapada reached the finals of the Volleyball (Boys). DVM, Chirawa emerged victorious and grabbed the first position. DHSS, Dalmiapuram grabbed the second position while DVM, Dalmiapuram took the third position at the podium.
In Volleyball (Girls) DVM, Chirawa came first, DPS, Sutrapada took the second position while the third position was honoured by DVM, Dalmiapuram.
In the evening program, there was stand-up Comedy Show in the school auditorium. All the students performed well and made everyone laugh out loud. Ms Zarina Khan, Kids Play School, Chirawa and Mr Gaurav Srivastav honoured the judge’s Chair and gave their decision testing the performance of the show on various parameters. The First position was bagged by DVM, Dalmiapuram, The Second position was grabbed by DVM, Chirawa The Third position was grabbed by DVM, Rajgangpur. The day ended with fun, laughter and a warm and sumptuous meal of the day for all. Day 3rd Art from the Heart Day-22.11.2018
The Day 3 started with morning assembly at 10:00am.The assembly was conducted by DVM, Chirawa. The programme kick started with Folk dance competition. The competition was presided by CEO Ma’am Dr Rosetta Williams. The function was also graced by Mr Shakti Singh, Officiating Principal, DVM Chirawa, Dr R. K. Dwivedi, Principal, DVM Rajgangpur (Odisha), Captain Das Pillai, Principal, DVM, Dalmiapuram, (Tamil Nadu), Ms Usha Suresh Kumar, Principal, DPS, Sutrapada (Gujarat), Ms P. Chandra, Headmistress, DVM, Dalmiapuram (Tamil Nadu), Mr Manohran, Vice Principal, DHSS, Dalmiapuram (Tamil Nadu), Ms Gunjan Bansal, Admissions and Operation Head, Escort teachers and DVM, Chirawa Staff.
The Judges for this competition were CEO, Dr. Rosetta Williams and Mr Ravi Singh, Dance teacher of Rakesh Academy, Pilani.
All the teams performed very well, which was extremely graceful and fantastic. They filled the environment with zest and energy. It was a stiff competition between all the teams but the overall the best team emerged victorious.
The result was announced by CEO Ma’am.

The seven teams were applauded and praised by the judges and the audience.
The day was marked by another stiff competition. Rangoli and Painting competition. This competition tested the artistic skills of the students. Every school participated in it with a lot of excitement.
The topic for Rangoli competition was “Water Conversation”
The Topics for Painting competition were “Global Warming”, “Save Environment” and “Deforestation”.
Two students from each school participated in Rangoli and Painting competition. Judges for these competitions were Dr. S. Krishan Yadav & Dr. M. L. Rajoriya.

It was a blessing for all of us to have the presence of Shriyut R. H. Dalmia Ji as a guest in our evening programme. The programme started with one act play based on Value Education. The teams’ enacted plays based on Morals values. The day was filled the environment with moral values. Judges for this competition were CEO, Dr. Rosetta Williams and Miss Shalini Shrivastava

Day 4th from Musical Day -23.11.2018
The fourth day of DSM started with morning assembly which was conducted by DVM, Chirawa. The first major competition of the day was, ‘SCHOOL GROUP SONG COMPETITION. Once again all the Dalmia Schools raised the bar high by putting up outstanding Group Song performances in Group song competition. All the participants showed their musical talent and beautifully composed and presented the song “Badhte Chalo” in their own creative way. Music was in the air throughout the morning, it was fascinating to witness all the participants put up quite a magnificent performance and each one was outstanding. Judges for these competitions were Mr Atmaram Jangir & Mr Shiv Kumar Sharma. Honourable Judges also presented a great composition which kept the audience enthralled. The function was also graced by our CEO, Dr Rosetta Williams, Mr Shakti Singh, Officiating Principal, DVM, Chirawa, Dr. R. K. Dwivedi, Principal, DVM Rajgangpur (Odisha), Captain Das Pillai, Principal, DVM, Dalmiapuram, (Tamil Nadu), Ms Usha Suresh Kumar, Principal, DPS, Sutrapada (Gujarat), Ms P. Chandra, Headmistress, DVM, Dalmiapuram (Tamil Nadu), Mr Manohran, Vice Principal, DHSS, Dalmiapuram (Tamil Nadu), Ms Gunjan Bansal, Admissions and Operation Head, Escort teachers and DVM, Chirawa Staff.
The overall result of the competition was declared by the Judges.

Sport is an integral part of life. In this session our teams had the opportunity to participate in Boys Basket Ball Competition. The referees of the competition were Mr Mahendra Singh & Mr Sandeep Kumar Dangi. The participating took part in league matches. The spectators witnessed enthralling matches of basketball. The final was played between DVM, Chirawa and DVM, Rajgangpur. The final was won by DVM, Rajgangpur. While the third position was bagged by DHSS Dalmiapuram.

The same evening the school witnessed Badminton Competition of Girls and Boys. The referee of this competition was Mr Rahul Girdhar. There was wonderful display of rallies and drop shots.

In evening session all teams assembled for Bhajan Sandhya at school auditorium. It was a blessing for all of us to have the presence of Shriyut R. H. Dalmia Ji as a guest. All school presented different Bhajans in different languages. It was a wonderful evening, all enjoyed a lot. At last everyone got Prasad.
Day 5th from Athletic Day – 24.11.2018
The fifth Dalmia School Meet was in full action. Day. This day was marked with two competitions. The first competition of the day was Gyanvardhak Quiz Competition based on curriculum related and General Knowledge. Operation Head and Judge Gunjan Bansal conducted the quiz. Honourable R. H. Dalmia Ji was the chief guest and Usha Suresh Kumar (Gujarat), K. Pillai (Tamil Nadu), Dr. Raghvendra Dwivedi (Odisha), were the special guest. The guests arrived at 10:00am. The quiz began with the introduction of the participants. 2 participants took part from each school. The quiz master explained rules of the competition to every participating team.
The first round was quick fire round. The Second was audio round while the third was visual round and last round was general round. At the end, DVM, Dalmiapuram won the competition. The Second position was bagged by DVM, Chirawa - Rajasthan while the third was grabbed by DPS, Sutrapada.
The athletic day began at Dalmia sports ground. There were severed sports events such as 100mtr and 200mtr race, Long jump, Shot put (Boys/Girls). A great interest was observed among the students and teachers. The guests were highly pleased at students’ performance. The result of the 100m race (boys) was as follows:

In evening program, there was a wonderful science exhibition. It was held at our school. Honourable guest came and motivate students for their projects. Students made things about:
“Water Conversation.” They were also told to explain about their projects. There was a stiff competition among all teams. The result of the competition was as follows:

The day ended with campfire. Here our chief guest and special guest arrived and took part in Dance & Music. Everyone enjoyed the campfire which kept a beautiful smile on everyone’s face.
Day 6th from Reward Day -25.11.2018
The last and final day of DSM was marked by Prize Distribution Ceremony which was held in our school. In order to make the event successful, many preparations were made by the teachers and students.
The successful students in various fields such as our sports, education, and cultural program were honoured in the event. CEO Dr. Rosetta Williams was chief guest of the day. Our principal & special guests arrived on time. The function began with Morning Prayer. All principal and guests lit the lamp. After this, immediately, prize distribution ceremony was held in which the students were awarded with prizes and certificates by the Chief Guest.
After this a very motivational speech was delivered by our Chief Guest, Special Guests, All the principals of different schools and CEO ma’am, Admission Head & Operation gave a motivational speech and shared their experiences in this meet.
In evening session, the program award ceremony of Rolling Trophy started with a wonderful dance performance by the students of DVM, Chirawa.
The rolling trophy of the event DSM 2018 was awarded to DVM, Chirawa. The second position was secured by DHSS, Dalmiapuram. Then, thanks giving trophies and certificates were given to Dr. Rosetta Williams, Mr Shakti Singh, Officiating Principal, DVM, Chirawa and Ms Gunjan Bansal. After that, our chief guest Shriyut R. H. Dalmia Ji interacted with Teachers and students and also gave a motivational, inspirational guidance to them.
At lasts a vote of thanks was given by our Off. Principal Mr Shakti Singh. The programme ended with happiness, music and dance.
