    System description

    the anchor is a compression tube anchor

    the anchor load is transferred via an unbonded steeltendon down to the bottom of the borehole, and from there via the compression tube and the grout into the ground

    in contrast to other systems, no components of the high grade steel that remain in the ground after removalcould be obstacles for excavators or TBMs after their service time

    A high removal rate is guaranteed through easyunscrewing of the threadbar out of its foot anchorage inconjunction with the coarse DYWIDAG threadform

    Anchor head and tendon in accordance with German general approval Z-20.1-17

    Plastic sheathing around the tendon guarantees thebars removability

    Foot anchorage, to transfer the anchor load into the compression tube

    Compression tube, consisting of 20 cm long and highlybrittle segments, with predetermined breaking points

  • Installation of the anchors

    Installation into cased or non-cased sheathing

    diameter of compression tube has to be considered for choice of drilling equipment

    Limitation of grouting pressure of max. 10 bars foranchors 26.5 mm to 40 mm

    Pressureless gravity grouting of the boreholes for anchors 47 mm

    A screwability check can be carried out a few hoursafter the grouting procedure. This guarantees an almost100% removability rate, as anchors with non-turnablebars can be drilled out immediately

    Acceptance test in accordance with DIN 4125 or EN 1537

    Stressing up to lock-off load

    Consideration of a sufficient bar protrusion, to enable unstressing before removal

    Removal of the anchor head

    Easy unscrewing of the threadbar out of the foot anchorage

    Pulling out of the high grade tendon out of the borehole

    Situation after removal

    After the removal of the high grade tendon, only theplastic sheathing and the short and brittle cast iron tubesegments with their pre-determined breaking pointsremain in the ground. They are no obstacles for furtherunderground works ( e.g. for excavators or TBMs).
