Secure cable redundancy and hot connect capability are supported by EtherCAT® feature pack. AdEXP1572 is controlled by PCI Express bus mas- ter (host CPU). The data is transferred through the shared memory which is installed in AdEXP1572. With working as an intelligent slave, AdEXP1572 re- alizes EtherCAT® master communication minimizing the impact for the host CPU.
