    DryFountain,designandinstallation

    Dryfountainsarecurrentlyverypopular.Youcanfindthistypeofwaterdisplayinavastarrayoflocations,frompublicsquaresandparkstoshoppingcenters,wheretheyprovideinteractivityforyoungchildren.Acommonfactorfrequentlyfoundinthesefountainsisthattheyseektobringrhythmandmovementtothewater,turningthespacearoundthemintoanattractiveplacefortourism.

    The infrastructure and installation thatdry andwalkable fountainsneed is complex, and, therefore, in this article, andusing asourWaterboyKit as anexample,wewilltrytosummarizethemostcommonelementsinthesekindsofprojects.TheWaterboycanbeinstalledindividuallyorcollectively,eitherinrowsorarraysoringeometricalshapesthatthedryfountaindesignneeds.

    Dryandwalkablefountainsarecharacterizedbyhavingahiddenstructure,belowourfeet,whichmeansthatwecanhaveanarchitecturalfountain inthesamespaceasadryenvironment,whenthefountainisnotrunning,whichwecanuseforotherevents.Forthis,weuseaconcretechannel,astructurethatcontainsthewaterfortheproperoperationofthearchitecturalfountain.Thiswaterreturnstothetankthroughagridplacedaroundit,andthroughthedryfountain kit, which includes a grill for return and drainage to the tank. The use of a system for filtering and purification of the water is essential formaintenanceofthewater.

    1. The Waterboy is our installation kit for dry fountains, made ofstainless steel, with White or RGB LED lighting, controlled by anelectricalpanel (15)tocontrolthe lightandwaterdisplay.TherearethreeWaterboymodels.

    i. Constantwateroutputand lighting control,with thismodelthe water output is free and the RGB LED lighting iscontrollablewiththeelectricalpanel(14).

    2.     thedesiredlevelinthedryfountain'stank,theprobeactivatesthesolenoid(9)andfillsthefountain.

    9. Solenoid for filling of the dry fountain, functions with the levelprobe(8),allowingtheautomaticfillingofthedryfountain.

    10. Manualfillingvalveforthedryfountain.11. Supplyvalve,connectedtothewatersupplynetwork.2. Retention valve in the filling inlet prevents water from the dry

    fountainfromreturningtothepublicwatersupplynetwork.3. Perimetercanalwithgridforthedryfountaincollectswaterthat

    comes out of the Waterboy and returns it to the dry fountain'stank.

    4. IP68bushing,withthistypeofaccessories,weallowthecablestopassfromoutsidetoinsidethedryfountain'stankwithoutallowingwatertoenterthemduetotheIP68seal.

    5. ElectricalpanelfortheWaterboyandpump,thisiswherewekeepallof theelectroniccomponents forourdry fountain to function;the clocksallow configurationof thehoursofoperation,and thecontrolsystemsallowcontrolofthewaterandlightdisplaysforourdryfountain.Itisprogrammable.

    6. An anemometer controls the operation of the dry fountain,dependingonwindspeed,sothatwhenthewindexceedsacertain

    speed, the anemometer lowers the height of the water jets, orturnsthemoffcompletely,inthearchitecturalfountain,inorderto

    preventsplashingbeyondtheperimeterofthedryfountain.
