Hopefully everyone has had a very relaxing and refreshing break and ready for a rewarding and busy term. M rs Suzanne Shaw is the new Relieving Home School Liaison Officer based here at Drummond we welcome Sue who is replacing Mrs Moore. Mrs Julia Ryan will continue each Monday and Tuesday on the Transition class. Mrs Courtney Ryan and Mrs Nussbaumer will be working with all classes so the teachers can work with the Instructional leader for Professional learning. S chool Photos are on Tuesday October 17. Please ensure your child is at school on time and is in the correct full school uniform, especially their shoes and socks. Please send your photo envelopes back to school before next Tuesday. School can not provide change to parents, all transactions need to be made directly with MSP. Family photo envelopes are available from the front office and the Transition class will be having a group photo taken on the day. T ransition class will run each Monday and Tuesday for the 10 weeks of this term from 9am till 3pm. ere will be a vision assessment screening on Tuesday 31 October for all transition students. Permission notes have been sent home. Please speak with Mrs Ryan if you have any questions regarding this screening. T here will be a Kindergarten Orientation Information session for parents with children starting Kindergarten in 2018 on the Tuesday 24 October at 9.15 in the school hall. Come along to meet other parents and staff, ask questions you may have and learn about the Best Start Assessment, uniforms and other information about preparing your child for a smooth, successful and happy start to school. O n Monday October 16 we will be “Go live” with the new finance and management system. All Public schools will have the same system which will be very good as we learn more. We will keep you informed on how to make payments to school for excursions etc. T he front gates will now be reopened for staff and deliveries only. Please remain using the safe collection and drop off points around the school to keep your children safe. T eddy Bear Hospital will be open here at Drummond on Monday 16 October for children in Kindergarten, Year 1/2 and Transition.
