Drum 1. First decorate your empty metal cans with fun patterns and colors. 2. Then take two balloons and cut the nozzle off, before stretching them over the open end of the can. 3. Add tape around the edges to secure the balloons. 4. Play with your brand new drums! Paper Towels Shakers 1. Gather paper towel rolls and cover one side with tape. 2. Decorate your shaker! 3. Add your choice of dry noodles, dry beans, or dry rice and then tape the other side close. Clapper 1. Use a piece of cardboard and cut out a strip three inches long and an about an inch wide in the shape of an oval. 2. Fold the piece of cardboard in half and on the outside of the fold decorate the instrument. 3. On the inside of the fold glue the bottom of two metal bottle caps on either side of the oval. 4. Let the glue dry and then tap the caps together to create your own sounds. CREATE YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT! Sounds can add a lot to your performance! Your little learner can use these homemade instruments to recreate the sound of waves or the beat of a drum.
