Six indicators of addiction:1.An object of desire – sparks
obsessive ideas and drives compulsive behavior
2.Preoccupation – obsession with the object of desire
3.Driven behavior – compulsion to reduce any cravings and satisfy the obsession that drives the addict’s behavior

Six indicators of addiction:4.Lack of control – failure to stop
or cut back; central defining feature of addiction
5.Dependence – physical or psychological state of being totally engrossed of the object of desire, so only that thing can satisfy the desire and fulfillment
6.Negative consequences – harmful consequences
