The DRS Rail System—theoriginal clamp-on rail systemfrom DORMA—allows for theeasiest and quickest door assembly of any rail systemon the market.

DRS Rails are delivered withall DORMA hardware installedand prepped. Simply clampthe rails onto a piece of tem-pered glass and the system isready for installation. The DRSclamp-on system allows forjob-site door height adjust mentto compensate for irregu lar -ities in the door opening.

Additionally, the snap-on railcovers need not be installeduntil job inspection, keepingconstruction site damage to a minimum.

DORMA DRS Rails feature Easi-Align™ adjustable prepblocks for setting door clear-ances and pivot centers while the door is installed. WithEasi-Align, one rail size—35-3/4" (908 mm)—can beused for openings of 36" (914 mm) or 72" (1829 mm).This feature reduces stockingrequirements, shortens leadtimes, and simplifies ordering requirements.

Innovative design, quality materials, and the finest work -manship mean that the DRSRail System has features tomeet the most demandingconditions. The system hasbeen independent-laboratorytested for holding force under

any climate condition. Testedat temperatures ranging from –10° to 150°, theDORMA DRS rail pull testedfor over 3000 lb (1364 kg)per 3' (914 mm) under theworst conditions, and for over 5000 lb (2273 kg) in thebest conditions, all withoutfailure or slippage.

Dri-Fit™ sidelite rails are offered to match door profiles,plus a complete range of saddles to match clearances.

For easy glazing that elimi-nates the need to use siliconeduring glass installation, top and bottom Dri-Fit U-channels are also available.

All heights accommodate 3/8" (10 mm) and 1/2" (12 mm) width glass.

Design professionals are oftenchallenged to design build-ings that are both beautifuland functional down to thelast detail. DORMA RP headertubes are made to house theRTS overhead concealedclosers and a variety of otherpivot options.

The popularity of concealedoverhead closers has ledDORMA to furnish fully fabri - cated headers for every doorand sidelite configuration.Head ers are available in twoprofiles:• 1-3/4" × 4-1/8" (44 mm × 105 mm)

• 1-3/4" × 4-1/2"(44 mm × 114 mm)

The design of the DORMA RPheader system allows for aglazing pocket to be snappedinto the header tube to permita seamless transition to thesidelite glazing. The Dri-Fitgasket is used for quick andeasy installation. Profiles are available for glass thick-nesses of 3/8" (10 mm), 1/2"(12 mm), 5/8" (15 mm), and3/4" (19 mm) tempered glass.

The DORMA Dri-Fit systemsimplifies glazing installation.The intelligently designed Dri-Fit gasket is used in side -lite rails, header tube glazingpockets, and u-channels.

Dri-Fit side rails are availableto match all DRS mechanicalprofile heights and offer a num -ber of saddle sizes from 1/8"to 3/4" (3 mm to 19 mm) tall.

The Dri-Fit glazing system accommodates glass thick-nesses of 3/8" (10 mm), 1/2"(12 mm), 5/8" (15 mm), and3/4" (19 mm). See the tableon page 7 for more details.

In addition to Dri-Fit sideliterails, DORMA also offers theDri-Fit U-Channel—a low profile u-channel ideal for glazing with minimal hardware.It can even be recessed in the ceiling and floor to completely eliminate visiblehardware.

Both Dri-Fit sidelite rails and Dri-Fit U-Channels areavailable in all nine stock finishes (page 4). Extrusionsare available in stock lengthsup to 144" (3658 mm) [120"(3048 mm) for Brass andBronze finishes].
