Worker unit.

Transforms itself into Zerg structures, and is consumed in the process.

Can transform into more advanced structures as the Hatchery is

upgraded.

Able to gather minerals and vespene gas.

Can attack for minimal damage.

Can burrow with the Burrow upgrade, allowing them to observe or

obstruct potential expansions or hide themselves on the map in

preparation for future building.

Regenerate their health after being damaged, unlike Protoss Probes.

they mine faster because they move to and from the mineral line on creep which gaives them a speed boost

best units ever!!!

once i seen the "wings" on those little suckers ,i thought they could fly

FireBreather

@ROXXEMBOXXEM: lol

CaptainJe

12/4/10 12:23 AM

SUCH A BEAST OF EPIC STATURE. THOSE PINCER CLAWS CAN RIP THROUGH DANDELIONS MORE EFFICIENTLY THAN YOUR

ROTTERTILLER AND THOSE BUTTERFLY WINGS CAN PROPEL THEM AT SPEEDS AT THE BRINK OF THE SPEED OF CREEP!!!

ROXXEMBOXXEM

@Wesley: In the end you still have them and thats what counts

Will

1/25/11 3:58 AM

@Rakshata: But if you burrow your drones, you waste precious time gathering minerals, which is the purpose of the

harassment, so they've achieved they're goal

Wesley

12/4/10 9:13 PM

These are offically the best harvestors ever. When you have burrow, these little buggahs can with stand almost any harrassment. You'd

need an observer, raven, overseer, or a scan to see them, and that'd be damage to your enemy in of itself. (IE: If you have burrow, you

have an overseer, and you can see the observer. Ravens are very expensive, and if the zerg has hydras, mutas, or corruptors, it will be a

waste. And finally, a scan will make it so that the terran can't use another MULE, damaging his economy.) Even if you do manage to kill

a bunch of them, it only takes one spawn larvae and they're all back.

Drones ftw.

I love drones sooo much :3

ElAutor

@Fergilicious: Drones don't get a speed boost on creep...

@ZergyPogy: savage doesn't necessarily mean aggresive

Skyhawk

11/13/10 6:58 AM

If they were evolved from the "savage" gashyrr wasps the shouldnt the be like, combat units?

ZergyPogy

1/13/11 3:45 PM

@Xelandrex: drone rush right at the beginning ftw

TheSjlentVNz

11/14/10 6:43 PM

imagine if they had the larva's armor, they'd be more useful than ultralisk. XD

Xelandrex

1/13/11 3:44 PM

@GCSC: really? I don't know about that :(

TheSjlentVNz

11/20/10 2:05 AM

@GCSC: DUH

ArconTe

11/20/10 1:11 AM

I just noticed that the drone DOES NOT movve 30% percent faster on creep Maybe this is to prevent fast minerals harvest.

GCSC

11/28/10 3:23 AM

GSL finals be there

@HELLsMESENGR: It's also an excuse for them not to move faster on creep.

Skyhawk

12/11/10 8:17 PM

@DELTAFORCE: to float, do you see legs on them?

HELLsMESENGR

@FireBreather: What is the point of those "wings" anyway?

10/31/10 4:45 AM

@Kitxunei: Presumably, the zerg colony wouldn't want to squander the resources it puts to upgrading its soldiers or higher-

exposure units to also toughen up the legion of drones that normally stay nice and tucked away in the belly of the base.

Leather

10/2/10 9:03 PM

@Kitxunei: "in a pinch." I see what you did there.

SilentLarry

9/24/10 5:32 PM

I know this has been since Starcraft 1, but why don't attack upgrades apply to workers? Yeah they aren't supposed to be attackers

anyway, but it's not unusual to use them in a pinch.

Kitxunei

10/5/10 9:59 PM

Drones can burrow! Awesome to use when bases are under siege.

Timoteo

10/13/10 1:42 AM

Awesome for Hatchery rush

ArconTe

11/20/10 2:06 AM

@SweetC: lol regen, ftw

ArconTe

11/2/10 5:55 AM

@ArconTe: i will 1v1 ur drone with a probe and win lol

shields :D

SweetC

10/30/10 2:23 AM

Drones are the strong worker of all the three races, try 1v1 against everyone, Drone always wins

ArconTe

11/12/10 11:27 PM

@MagmaRam: I find it great that they float around, it suits them perfectly.

SwiftDeath

11/8/10 2:36 PM

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that these guys seem to have NO LEGS?

MagmaRam

Drone rush ftw!
