Our 14 workshops – including 2 major and 1 minor manufacturing facilities – are spread across the country, from Phalaborwa to the Port of Cape Town and Kimberley. From towing to routine servicing, maintenance and tyres, our highly skilled and expertly trained technicians perform every task – from the smallest to the most sophisticated – enabling F&R CATAI to create custom-made solutions that meet even the most demanding and unique needs.

We offer dedicated fleet administration and a managed maintenance service to large fleet owners in the public and private sectors, and currently manage an excess of 10 000 vehicles, on every highway and byway in the country, 24/7.

Helping to make mobility more affordable and hassle-free, we work closely with Full Maintenance Lease companies to provide cost-effective solutions – including new and used vehicle markets, vehicle finance, fuel management, tracking and insurance. In terms of managed maintenances services, we provide roadside assistance via our RoadCall Service. All calls are logged, approval of maintenance is obtained and expenses are managed in line with industry parameters and best practices.

RoadCall, our 24-hour roadside assistance and emergency services, ensures the maximum utilisation of your fleet through a rapid-fire response service that is tailor-made to meet your specific needs.

Connected to our national support network of workshops and manufacturing plants, our state-of-art call centre is operational 24/7/365 and accessible via a share call number, or a unique customer number. In addition to our workshops, RoadCall is linked directly to Trauma link and Netcare 911, and to 1000-strong contracted suppliers who provide tow-in, recovery support, maintenance and related vehicle services, in every corner of the country

In addition to the pre-authorisation of repairs and tow-ins, our qualified staff, specialised in various categories of fleet cost management, ensure that appropriate and optimal, cost-effective decisions and solutions are provided to your fleet. TAILORMADE SOLUTIONSGUARANTEED

When the need was identified for emergency road maintenance solutions for existing Road Rail Vehicles, we developed mobile workshops on site, as a turnkey solution. Since then, F&R CATAI has been instrumental in the maintenance of the Road Rail Vehicles (RRVs) with our mobile workshops: providing on-site maintenance of RRVs countrywide, and effectively managed by our national call centre. Continually progressing, we recently launched a new hydrostatic version to replace the original rubber-on-track basis, predicated by our extensive knowledge of hydraulics and the rail sector.

ROAD RAIL VEHICLES


F&R CATAI’s Inline Trailers meet the needs of both the freight industry and national ports. Our Heidelberg branch specializes in the manufacturing of heavy-duty freight trailers with various applications and we have earned a solid reputation for our robust trailer solutions. We have manufactured and delivered bathtub trailers for the Port of Ngqura, Port, Elizabeth, performed under license from Buiscar, Holland.

Proud owner of the rights to Armadillo - and aluminum swappable bodies, we are able to customise and optimise the utilisation of customer’s fleets – by enabling one vehicle to provide various applications. With a lifespan in excess of the vehicle, we not only apply the swap bodies but are able to customise and refurbish them. F&R’s first commercial application of swop bodies was the fitment of the Telkom fleet of vehicles, with a swappable body capable of housing tools required by mobile technicians.
