On May 7th, 2011, Studio 6 Speed Pho-tography organized photo shoot day

in the Agoura Hills/Westlake area. With theo cial goal of providing not just a photoshoot; a total car experience, Studio6Speed.com was set up by Joshua Beasley (EventOrganizer/Coordinator), Mike Moyne(Photographer/Talent Coordinator), Mark Karpus (Photographer/ Website Co-Man-ager) and Matthew Smith (Photographer/Website Co-Manager). Having already runa few photo shoots before, the event on May 7th was the o cial founding event of the

group. To ensure the group set the right tonefrom day one, we needed to ensure that wepartnered with the best in order to run anevent the right way.

e meeting location was graciously hostedby Lavaggio e Art of Detailing in Agou-ra Hills, which was the perfect spot to en-sure that our cars looked their best for theshoot. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience, La- vaggio is a detailing center that goes aboveand beyond even the most OCD of expecta-tions. Every inch of a car is thoroughly in-spected, hand washed and dried, polished,

and then fully inspected again. e relaxingatmosphere and gourmet lunch that wasprovided made all of us feel as if we wereon vacation in a resort dedicated to spoilingour cars as much as ourselves. e state of the art facilities provided for some nice pre-event photo opportunities as well.

A er a few hours of dining, relax-ing, and ensuring our cars were thoroughly pampered by Lavaggios diligent sta , westarted our engines and made the short

caravan to Rusnak BMW Westlake. Runsak GM Amir Khansari gave us use of the fa-cility, and which we took full advantageof. We set up three shooting locations, the

rst being in the service entrance for somenice roll-in shots. e second shoot locationwas on the roof of the service center, whichis normally used for car storage. is pro- vided the perfect setting for some outdoorshots, as the the mountains and sky madethe perfect backdrop. e last shoot locationwas on the second oor below the roof inthe wash bays. e lighting in the wash bays

allowed for low-light industrial type shots,which gave the pictures shot there a very gritty feel. A er a few hours (and roughly 2200 pictures later) we departed for a lei-surely drive up Kanan Road to PCH. isallowed our photographers to get plenty of pictures of the cars doing what they weredesigned for: driving. Snapping roughly 400pictures of the cars in motion, the event o -cially ended as we all went our separate waysalong the coast.

Overall it was a very success-ful event, with 24 cars ranging from a few

BMW M3s and a Supra Turbo to a Porsche997 TT and two Ferrari 458 Italias. Addtwo amazing venues, six gorgeous models,and over 2600 pictures snapped; everyoneinvolved had a blast of a day. All in all wecouldnt have asked for a better inauguralevent, with great venues, great scenery, andmost importantly; with great people.
