Peace of mind

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)Using radar data, the Sportage senses the potential for a collision with a car or object ahead and applies emergency braking to avoid or reduce the effects of a collision.

Blind Spot Detection (BSD)The system can detect approaching vehicles within a distance of 70 metres. A visual and / or audible warning will alert you when they enter your blind spot zone, if you're indicating to change lanes. Available in LX Plus, EX and GT Line.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)Activated when you put the Sportage into reverse, the system will warn you if it detects any traffic approaching within 20 metres of the rear of the vehicle, which can help avoid accidents when reversing out of a parking space or driveway. Available in LX Plus, EX and GT Line.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC)Radar sensors at the front of the vehicle monitors the distance between you and the vehicle ahead. To maintain a pre-determined safe distance, the system will automatically apply the brakes to reduce speed, and even stops the car if necessary.Available on 2WD EX, GT Line and AWD LX Plus, EX and GT Line.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)This technology helps you keep stable and safe when simultaneously braking and cornering, especially on wet, slippery or rough roads.

Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS)To help keep you at a safe driving distance from the vehicle ahead, an alarm sounds if it estimates that you are too close.

Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)This system helps to alert the driver when the vehicle deviates from the traffic lane and may automatically assist in steering the vehicle to stay within the lane of travel.

6 airbag system To help protect occupants and potentially reduce injuries in the event of a collision, Sportage offers driver and front passenger airbags, 2 front-side airbags and 2 side-curtain airbags.
