NV Ferrari Maximum Brut, Alto Adige, Italy £9.50A deep straw yellow with a gentle, yet positive and persistent bouquet, with a note of ripe fruit accompanied by hints of crusty bread, hazelnuts and variegated floral aromas. Dry, elegant and well-balanced.

NV Pommery Brut Royal, Champagne, France £11The colour is pale yellow with faint green highlights. Citrus fruit and white flower notes combine with small red fruits to offer elegance balanced with great finesse and complex finish.

2016 Semillon Chardonnay, Mullygrubber, South Eastern Australia £6The Semillon Chardonnay blend is an Australian classic, delivering an approachable and easily enjoyable style. Ripe, fresh fruit aromas of peach and melon precede a round, juicy palate packed with tropical and citrus fruit flavours.

2017 Puiattino Pinot Grigio IGT, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy £8.75Pale in colour, with fresh grassy notes and hints of green apples. The palate has a touch of honey making it a wonderful aperitif.

2016 Gavi di Gavi DOCG, Font, Piemonte, Italy £9.50One of Italy’s most fashionable whites, it is noted for acute dryness and fresh, flinty acidity. It has a full, delicate, elegant bouquet which brings flowers and fresh fruit to mind - mostly lemons, lilies of the valley and green apples.

2017 Château du Donjon Rosé, Langeudoc, France £8Crystal-clear pink wine with fresh and delicate fruit on the nose. It is aromatic, well balanced and appealing.

2017 Más Amor Rosado, Massard, Catalunya, Spain £8Light, elegant complex and dry with vibrant freshness in the glass and a powerful fruity, herby nose. In the mouth there is subtle minerality with a refreshing finish.

RED WINE BY THE GLASS 175ml

2015 Brusco dei Barbi, Fattoria dei Barbi, Tuscany, Italy £8.50Brilliant ruby red in colour, the wine has a fragrant bouquet with hints of plum and red berries. It is medium bodied with soft tannins and a rich long finish.

2016 Reserve Malbec, Bodegas, Mendoza, Argentina £8.50Dense purple in colour with bright brick red highlights. Powerfully aromatic, showing concentrated stone fruit aroma such as plums and prunes with a hint of spicy oak.

2015 The Stump Jump Shiraz, d’Arenberg, South Australia, Australia £8.25The nose is chock-full of fresh blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate sprinkled with spices. The palate is fresh and juicy, ripe red fruits mix with plums, blackcurrant, flowers and a twist of black pepper.

2015 Château Laulerie Merlot, Bergerac, South West France, France £7.75Soft and supple Merlot blend from up-and-coming young winemaker Grégory Dubard in Bergerac. Lively red fruit with a hint of pepper characterise the nose of this red wine. A supple and velvety palate, accompanied by berry fruit aromas make this medium-weight wine easy-to-drink and ideal for the summer.

2014 Rioja Crianza, Ramon Bilbao, Rioja, Spain £8.25The 2014 vintage of this wine is amazing, with aromas of fresh dark fruit, such as blackberries and blackcurrants and hints of Blackberry yoghurt. It has a lovely ripeness and generous fruit character, whilst retaining good structure.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Cannonball, Napa, California £14Balance in the mouth is exceptional from start to finish - strawberry, blueberry, and red apple dipped in dark chocolate, all-spice and a layer of toasted oak. Tannins are structured but not overwhelming, with very well balanced acidity.

FEW American, Evanston, United States £11.50Orange Upon first blush, you’ll discover notes of lemon and warm vanilla. Then, the profile shifts and you’ll finish with the familiar nip of juniper on the edges of your tongue.

Sacred Cardamom, London, England £11Coffee Beans Fabulously aromatic crushed cardamom nose with pine freshness and slight cracked black pepper. Extremely long, fresh cardamom finish.

FAIR, Cognac, France £12.75Lemon Peel and Rosemary Soft and delicate palate moving to a fresh, strong juniper flavour with an exquisite balance of selected spices.

Bulldog, Oldbury, England £7.25Lime The nose is slightly floral with lavender and a bit of citrus. Some lime and a bit of sweet orange. The palate, despite the bounty of Asian botanicals reads more clearly in the traditional spirit.

Ungava, Ungava, Canada £10.25Grapefruit A fantastically Canadian dry gin, sharper and with more pine flavour than most giving in to layers of tart berries and semi-sweet floral flavours.

Whitley Neill, London, England £8Orange Whitley Neill is slightly softer than more traditional gins and very smooth with rich juniper and citrus, pot pourri and exotic spices.

Plymouth, Plymouth, England £8Lemon and Blackberry A less crisp flavour than the London Dry gin because of the higher proportion of root ingredient and the long maceration of the lemon and orange peel.

Hayman’s Sloe, Witham, England £6.75Caramelised Lime Wild English grown slow berries are gently steeped for several months with Gin creating a rich ruby red liqueur with smooth and intense bitter sweet fruit flavours.

Aviation, Portland, United States £10Celery Stick and Mint Made in the full bodied Dutch Style of days gone by with 100% rye grain neutral spirit and what can be simply described as a ‘botanical democracy’ of Juniper, Cardamom, Coriander and dried orange.

Portobello Road, London, England £7.5Grapefruit On the front of the palate Portobello Road Gin has a generous slug of juniper, the mid palate has a sustained, fresh citrus character from their use of lemon, bitter orange and coriander, which then develops into a sweet peppery finish.

Sipsmith, London, England £9Blueberries Dry Juniper leads, then reveals Lemon tart and Orange Marmalade, before all the flavours harmonise.

Martin Miller’s, London, England £7.5Strawberry and Black Pepper You get a lovely strong citrus nose and taste, with the Juniper notes emerging half way through, then comes a lovely clean, soft finish.

Tanqueray Rangpur, London, England £8.75Lime Leaf and Ginger Made with Rangpur limes which are thought to be a cross between lemons and mandarin oranges. Along with the Rangpur limes there is also a little ginger and bay leaf added to help balance out the zesty citrus flavours.

Hayman’s, Witham, England £7.50Lemon Pleasantcitrus notes followed by a round malty sweetness then a hit of juniper that gives way again to a crisp, bright cooling note, altogether pleasing on the palate.

Tanqueray No. Ten, London, England £9.50Lime Tanqueray No. Ten it set itself apart by not just using fruit peel, but fresh grapefruit, orange, lime and camomile are used to flavour.

Bathtub, Ableforth’s, England £9.25Orange This is the only cold-compound gin available on the market. Botanicals such as clove, cinnamon, cardamom and orange make this a most perplexing gin!

Hendricks, Girvan, Scotland £9.75Cucumber Hendrick’s wondrous botanical signature consists of flowers, roots, fruits and seeds from the world over. With a duet of infusions: Rose Petal and Cucumber. Hendrick’s is the marriage of two different spirits from two rare and unusual stills: the Bennet Still and the Carter-Head still.

Death’s Door, Wisconsin, United States £13Pear and Coriander A surprisingly simple botanical mix of juniper berries, coriander and fennel. The taste of all three botanicals is clear : loaded juniper berries and a soft, cooling finish.

Gin Mare, Vilanova, Spain £11Rosemary Gin Mare is a thoroughly Spanish gin, bursting with the wonderful taste of the Mediterranean; rosemary, olives, thyme and basil.

Marylebone, London, England £11.5Blackberry it starts with delicate garden floral notes but has real body and ends dry with a pleasant bitterness balanced with a hint of round sweetness.

Caorunn, Speyside, Scotland £9.75Red Apple A modern “London Dry” Gin with a dry and crisp, aromatic taste adventure and a long dry finish.

Monkey 47, Schwarzwald, Germany £16Plum Hits of fresh citrus and ripe juniper on the nose, followed by a vegetal and slightly wooded finish that’s extremely complex and robust.

Warner Edwards, Harrington, England £10.25Orange A gin style you may never have experienced before; burnt orange and butterscotch. Very interesting.

Gin 209, San Francisco, United States £10.50Lime and Coriander beautifully aromatic nose of predominately citrus and floral notes with a hint of spiciness.

Old English, Oldbury, England £10Juniper Berries On the nose is a clear juniper aroma with light citrus notes and green woody hints of pepper spice and herbs.

Opihr, Warrington, England £7.25Orange Peel Opihr is warming, well balanced, easy to drink and adds variety to any gin shelf. With it’s warm, earthy and exotic spices alongside sweet citrus notes, you’ll find that the bottle goes down particularly quickly during Autumn and Winter.

No.3, London, England £10.75Grapefruit On the nose there’s an instant and welcome hit of piney juniper with citrus and coriander very evident. In the mouth the juniper develops into a crispness nicely balanced by a soft spiciness.

Brockmans, Woking, England £9.25Blackberries Light, fresh ripe fruit on the nose, with berries dominating. Smooth on the palate with an almost tutti frutti style flavour coming through. Fresh hits continue over the long finish.

Edgerton Blue, London, England £7.50Blueberries The aromas of a Country Garden, with notes of lavender and spices. A strong hit of spicy black pepper and citrus, and mellow herby finish of cardamom and fenugreek.

Tarquin’s Cornish Dry, Cornwall, England £10.25Lime To taste, Tarquin’s Dry Gin is a well-balanced gin with all the classic botanicals coming through on both the nose and the palate.

Cambridge Dry, Cambridge, England £12.50Mint Crisp clean zesty with citrus, fruity blackcurrant notes. Elegant, rounded palate, floral and spice flavours on the finish.

Old Pillars Bloody Shiraz, Yarra Valley, Australia £11.50Orange Bloody Shiraz Gin is produced each year and the influence of vintage is all important. The 2017 release has an incredibly vibrant ruby colour. Aromatically the gin has fresh pine needles and incredible peppery spice and dense raspberry character.

Hepple, Morpeth, England £12Lemon The nose is delicately spicy with lots of juniper. Hints of fennel seed and celery lead into a finish where subtle licorice backs a crisp juniper-forward finish. Medium length finish that is elegant and classic.

Thomas Dakin, Manchester, England £11Lemon and Celery The sweet orange and citrus notes found on the palate contrast nicely with the smooth and savoury finish created by the cubebs and red cole.

Japanese, Cambridge, England £14Radish On the nose we picked up sweet floral notes. Neat it is sweet and light, with a savory finish which grabs the back of the palate, it has a soft aromatic element.

Colombo, London, England £8.50Curry Leaf Colombo is light and bright gin. Coriander seeds bring citrus notes that run throughout with juniper, angelica root, and a kick of warmth from the ginger.

ELLC Premium Gin Batch One, London, England £10Grapefruit Peel A lovely nutty and dry aroma to the gin, with a touch of citrus. To taste, bright spice and a vibrant grapefruit ping, before a piney juniper and earthy angelica.

Fords, London, England £10Grapefruit Classically styled Gin on the nose, with juniper and a touch of citrus. There is a big coriander seed, clear juniper and the cassia adds a warming spice on the finish.

Smooth Ambler Barrel, Virginia, United States £13Lemon Unique flavors of burnt caramel and burnt sugar with a bit of lemon meringue notes. It sips like a gin and finishes like a whiskey.

Dictador Colombian, Cartagena, Colombia £11.50Orange and Black Pepper Very much a citrus-forward gin, a little oaky on the nose but then all of the citrusy herby flavours come to the fore. There’s a hint of spice and warmth.

West Winds Cutlass, West Wind, Australia £12Green Pepper Lime zest, eucalyptus t aroma with cracked black pepper taste and long finish with coriander, pine with liquorice and violet blossom.

Cremorne 1859, London, England £7.25Blackberry A fruity and earthy taste ensues; this gives way shortly to a more sweet flavour.

Saffron, Dijon, France £10.50Orange On the nose, juniper and coriander, not saffron and it have a lovely buttery texture to it, and the subtle spice is not overwhelming at any point.

Bertha Irish Milk, Cork, Ireland £11.75Orange Peel Effortlessly smooth from the start, sweet orange, coriander and the generous nature of the spirit washes over the palate, finishing in a gentle spice-tinted heat.

Masons Yorkshire, Bedale, England £10.50Lemon Dry notes of Yorkshire Tea on the nose are complimented by Citrus on the palate.

Spirit of Hven Organic, Hven, Sweden £15.75Juniper Berries and Lemon Zest Sichuan pepper, aniseed and guinea pepper give structure and edge to the palate. Surprisingly long and smooth with a gentle touch of liquorice and cut hay.

Porter, Aberdeen, Scotland £11.25Lime Juniper instantly leaps up out of the bottle, filling the nose with a deep, rich berry to compliment a teasing citrus. Cassia, cinnamon and pink peppercorns, too, present themselves, adding a warmth to the overall smell.

Junipero, San Francisco, United States £11.50Rosemary Junipero gin is a smooth, clean and dry gin with an assertive juniper flavour and a spicy finish.

Copperhead, Belgium £15.50Orange More orange zest stepping forward with cardamom, them juniper and a light sweetness and the finish is all about the pain.

Gunpowder, Leitrim, Ireland £16Grapefruit and Raspberries Delightfully fresh and rounded up front, first on your palate will be citrus juniper and subtle notes of spice, followed by the unusual flavour of gunpowder tea.

Ki No Be Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan £13.75Lemon Intense aromas of refreshing Japanese yuzu and earthy spices on the nose. The palate has a soft and velvety texture, with notes of juniper pine, leading to bright citrus fruit, ginger spice, flowers and freshly cut grass.

Xoriguer Mahón, Balears, Spain £10Lemon It’s floral and aromatic on the nose, with herbaceous and warm notes to taste. Pick up a bottle if you find it.

Warner Edwards Rhubarb, Northampton, England £11.25Orange Made using a crop of rhubarb originally grown in the kitchen garden of Buckingham Palace during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Pink Pepper, France £12.25Pink Grapefruit Pink Pepper is an intensely aromatic and unique gin, which ages and evolves, both in the bottle and the glass. When the bottle is young, or when diluted or chilled, fresh and spicy notes of pink pepper and juniper are prominent.

The Botanist Islay, Islay, Scotland £11.25Lemon and Thyme A huge 31 botanicals go into gin, including 22 native to Islay (the Juniper used is wild Islay Juniper). Islay isn’t just about the whisky anymore. The Botanist Gin is top-notch.

Ron Zacapa 23, Guatemala £15Ron Zacapa Solera 23 is adored for its raw honey, cinnamon, vanilla and caramel flavor notes.

Rumbullion 15 Year Old, England £19.50Rumbullion is a spiced rum from Ableforth’s. Made using Caribbean rum, Madagascan vanilla, orange peel, cinnamon, this is rich and intense.

Lost Spirit Navy Sour, United States £18An intriguing rum from California’s Lost Spirits, this navy-style rum has been matured in American oak ex-sherry casks, before being bottled at 61%, displaying notes of caramel and tobacco smoke.

Diamond Distillery 2000 16 Years Old, Guyana £17The Nectar of the Daily Drams is a brand originally created by 2 members of The Nectar in Belgium. Basically, whiskey enthusiasts, they have extended their passion to rum and seek the best rum for bottles under their label. The nose is discreetly woody with notes of dried fruit and exotic fruits. On the palate, alcohol is present but not aggressive. A very robust rum, well balanced, not aggressive. At the end of the mouth, there are notes of spices with pepper, clove and vanilla. Nice finish. Hampden 2007 10 Years Old, Jamaica £15All the way from Jamaica come this 10 year old pot still rum, produced at the Hampden Estate. It was distilled in November 2007 and allowed to rest for a decade before being bottled at 46% ABV by Hunter Laing as part of the Kill Devil range. We love this indie rum bottling series - top notch rum from a variety of countries and distillery, presented very handsomely indeed. Guyana Enmore Rum 1992 25 Years Old, Guyana £23.50This is a single-cask rum from Hunter Laing’s Kill Devil series. Distilled in Enmore’s unique wooden still in February 1992, this was aged for 25 years, with the cask yielding 347 bottles. Plantation Fiji 2009, Fiji £12.50A 2009 vintage Fijian rum from the Plantation range, produced by the South Pacific distillery and bottled as part of the Plantation range. It was initially matured in bourbon casks for 7 years before being shipped over to France for a for a finishing period in Cognac casks for a further 2 years.
