Dramaturgical Notes

The work of the dramaturg in this production was to help the directors realize their vision of the play. The rest of the work falls down with solidifying the directors concept and thorough analysis of the text. The play is homage for all of the artisans in theatre that repays the ambitions and dreams built upon the vast minds of the theatre students undergoing practical efforts. The play circulates around Raul and his alter egos. The play envisages Rauls character as if he was a part of the rainbows hue which is striking and different in its own way that makes it stand on its own. The text mirrors vignette-style of presentation. Even though these characters were figments of Rauls imagination, we will see several traits and manners grounded upon these characters. a.) Raul 1 portrays his insecurities in ones body b.) Raul 2 shows figments of Rauls dreams and ambitions and c.) Raul 3 depicts the main characters hindrances in pursuit of his dreams which was physicalize through the body of Xander, his crush.In the last chapter of the play, a show stopper performance of Aguileras Candy Man will fill the space. It will show a movement bonanza and a tragic image of Raul doing a set change to conclude the performance. This will be the ending statement of the play. Rauls purpose was to help the show come to life which will be shown through Rauls small act of set change which corroborated that every man has its purpose in life.
