DRAFTING – PART 2

The cover shot is of a female protagonist posing very stereotypically wearing formal yet feminine dress and makeup. This model is looking at the camera which infers a connection between the magazine and the viewer.

Character = female protagonist who is a pop singer.

Costume = plain black dress which is formal yet fashionable which fits with the target audience of the magazine.

Location: studio with white back drop and natural lighting.

This is the first photo for the contents page. It is the model used in the cover shot and she is the model being used for the whole shoot. This shot is a medium shot and it is an eye line shot. She is looking over her shoulder which is another interesting pose to make the magazine more interesting to look at.

This shot is also a medium close up shot and is an eye lie shot. This shot is more basic as it is simply a portrait shot of the artist smiling. This shot perhaps shows a different personality. All shots in this magazine were taken in the same studio.

This is the third and final photo that will be used in the contents page. This is once again a different pose. It is a medium shot like the rest and it is an eye line shot. This shot shows a more fierce personality side to the artist which will be reflected in the interview with her in the double paged spread.

This is the shot for the double paged spread which takes up an entire page. This shot is of the model looking down and to the floor. This expression or emotion could possible reflect the artists music style. In this shot the model is wearing a different dress, even though it isn’t really seen, that has unique ruffles on the shoulders.

Character = female protagonist who is a pop singer.

Costume = black dress with shoulder ruffles and her hair being the main feature of the shot.
