Dr Navin C. NANDA, MDDistinguished professor of cardiovascular medicine, University of Birmingham (UAB), Alabama, USA. Editor-in-chief of Journal of Echocardiography, Wiley Publications. Considered as the Father of Echocardiography, he pioneered the development of echocardiography. First to discover the pulmonary valve by echocardiography, diagnose a bicuspid aortic valve, develop the echocardiographic technique to diagnose transposition of great arteries in the new born, develop clinical 3D echocardiography and pioneered 3D and 4D echocardiography.
Dr (Prof) R.B. PANWAR, MD (Medicine), DNB (cardiology), FACC, FWHOVice-chancellor, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, India. Senior cardiologist with many years of clinical and teaching experience at Sardar Patel Medical College, India. More than 100 research publications in national and international journals. An outstanding teacher, mentor and administrator, who is credited with the development of Cardiac Center in Bikaner and a new medical college at Jaipur, India.
Dr Andja JASOVIC, MD, PhDConsultant radiologist, Clinical coordinator (radiology services, Wellkin Hospital). Specialized in MDCT (Stanford University, USA, 2005). Occupied several positions of great responsibility worldwide, including head and director of radiology department. Active member of several international radiological societies. Recipient of JCI certificate of recognition, 2012.
Dr Maneesha BHAYA, MD (Pediatrics), DNB (cardiologist), FESCConsultant Cardiologist (Adult and pediatric), City Clinic Group. Member of ESC working group on valvular heart diseases. Special expertise includes clinical cardiology and its correlation with advanced multimodality cardiac imaging using echocardiography, CT and CMR in
children and adults. Research interests include Rheumatic Heart Disease, Congenital Heart Disease, 3D Echocardiography and 3D Strain imaging with several first author publications.
Dr Aniff YEAROO, MD 1980, CES 1984 Bordeaux FrancePractised in France until 1985, Public Sector in Mauritius until 1999 and now fully in the Private Sector. Visiting Consultant at Ilafy Clinic in Antananarivo Madagascar for over ten years. Speaker and Faculty Member in International Meetings such as Euro PCR, Africa PCR, India Lives in Coronary and Peripheral Interventions.
Dr U.S. RAMJUTUN, MD, PhDSenior consultant interventional Cardiologist. Was in charge of cardiology department at Victoria Hospital and Jeetoo Hospital and was instrumental in popularizing interventional cardiology services in Mauritius.
Dr Ali Ahmed BHUGALOO, (university of Karachi, 1993), Masters in Radiology (University of Malaya, 2001), FRCR (London)Consultant radiologist at Victoria Hospital and Wellkin Hospital. Interest in musculoskeletal radiology. Trained in breast imaging in Johannesburg.
Dr Ambedhkar Shantaram NAOJEE, MBBS, MD (Radiodiagnosis, BHU, INDIA), Nuclear Medicine (Royal Free Hospital UK/AIIMS INDIA)Consultant radiologist, in charge of Nuclear Medicine Department, J N Hospital. Pioneer in Nuclear Medicine service in Mauritius since 2001. Regional and National project coordinator to several nuclear Medicine projects (including introducing PET CT) and course director to several IAEA Regional training courses in Mauritius. Posters presentation at IAEA world conference on Nuclear Medicine Services in Mauritius and co-author in Nuclear Medicine article on adenosine cardiac stress test.
