a) Special efforts for curriculum development, teaching, evaluation, etc.

1. Worked as the Chairman of the Syllabus Forming Committee for Social Sciences Text Books for Class V to Class X, DSERT, Government of Karnataka. The Government has accepted the Report in 2010.

2. Working as the Chairperson of the Social Sciences Text Book Preparation Committee

which is preparing Text Books for High School Students. This Committee has been formed by the Text Book Preparation Organisation, Department of Primary and Secondary Education, Government of Karnataka.

3. As the Founding Director of Distance Education Centre of Kannada University (2005-08), we have succeeded in the preparation and spread of the Study materials to most of the parts of Hyderabad Karnataka Region, which is considered most backward regions Karnataka. The enrolment of students has increased from 120 (in 2005) to 2300 in 2008. As a director I have succeeded in getting Rs.30 lakhs for the year 2006-07 and Rs.40 lakhs for the year 2007-08.

4. As the Director of DEC, I have endeavoured in bringing the Financial aid

of Rs.50 lakhs from Government of Karnataka in order to carry out “Aadalitha Kannada” programme. This programme is being launched with the assistance of Kannada Abivridhi Praadhikaara (Kannada Development Board), Government of Karnataka. Received some funds form the department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka to extend tourism courses to the dalit students.
