offered a new and improved house from Dr. Mahtani.
140 houses have been constructed and they have
improved sanitation facilities, cosy surroundings and
double bedroom with better living conditions for people
who had lost their houses in infrastructure development.
An estimate of K 6.5 million has been made for funding
this project which will be borne by the company, FBZ.
Proposal of opening FBZ branches in
Malawi
Dr. Rajan Mahtani has requested the Government of
Malawi to accept his proposal of opening FBZ branches
in Malawi. The idea of Dr. Rajan Mahtani is to create
employment opportunities in Malawi by way of
establishing branches of his bank. With FBZ, the
country will have a source whereby they can borrow
loans for their development plans.
Eliminating the danger of HIV and Tuberculosis
Dr. Rajan Mahtani, chairperson of Prison Fellowship and
Finance Bank of Zambia Ltd has focused upon prisoners
suffering in prison cells with various diseases and has
taken steps to improve the existing state of prisons in
Zambia. He is looking forward to offer a safer life to the
prisoners by eliminating the risk of HIV and Tuberculosis.
He wants the prisoners to transform themselves from “a
danger to society” to “agents of change”. Gordon Loux,
Prison Fellowship International President, is also happy
with the flow of development in Zambia’s prisons.
