My contribution as a teacher

Teachers play a critical role in preparing their students to thrive in an increasingly complex,

competitive and inter-connected world. To achieve this I have tried to deliver holistic education that is

increasingly flexible and customized, so as to equip my students not just with content knowledge, but

also with the necessary skills and values. This path of education and learning is unending, hence we

desire some enhancements in the education system and to do justice to the students as I teacher I

have always tried to continuously acquire new knowledge and apply innovative pedagogies to be an

effective educator and have a global outlook which is the need of today.

Student innovative team SAC (101) got the second prize under the guidance teachers innovative team

in poster making competition in a seminar organized by Kirori Mal College on climate change and

banking sector on Feb 14, 2013 and was appreciated by the judges and the organizers of the seminar.

Chaired a session in a National conference organized by Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies

on "HR Policies are Market Driven" on 15th February, 2011.

Chaired a session in BVIMR New Delhi on case writing competition on 12th

October 2012.

Delivered two lectures on ethics in librarianship, at Centre for Professional development in Higher

Education (CPDHE).

The teachers take its cue from the current education landscape where technological innovations and

globalisation have led to a change in their roles. It affirms the core purpose of teachers in nurturing each

child to achieve the desired outcomes of education, while constantly adapting and building their

capacity to perform their role effectively. As a teacher I do research not only on my core areas like

finance and management but also on the themes which are affecting our environment and I spread words

with help of social networking sites to convey my message on awareness on environmental and

sustainable issues like by creating a face book page and making my student admin that page. I have

written more than 150 research papers in National and International Journals which are highly

appreciated and I try to be the part of almost all the Conferences which fall under my domain to present

my piece of work. My h-Index in Google scholar is 4 (
