Introduction 38. There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being
that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.

Pakistan and Livestock Pakistan is an agriculture base 2nd economy generator after Service Sector AGRICULTURE has 23 % share in GDP LIVESTOCK has 55.1 % to agricultural (11.5% in GDP) Overall worth value of Rs. 1350 billion Livestock is more valuable than crops sector

Salient feature of the Sector The agriculture sector remained the dominant sector with
its job absorption ability and it still absorbs 44 percent of the country’s labour force. It gives a kick-start to aggregate demand for industrial goods and services as well.
The agriculture sector consists of crops, livestock, fishing and forestry sub-sectors. The crop subsector is further divided into major crops
Growth is decreasing (5% in 1990s) to 2.1 % (2011)

The share of livestock in agriculture has increased from 29.8 percent to 55.1 percent in the decade period.
The price of livestock items has remained a major contributor to inflationary pressures in Pakistan’s economy
It is a highly labour–intensive and job creating sector.
