Before you can achieve success, you need to define what success means to you. Unless you have a clear vision of what success is to you, you cannot work towards it. So.. What does success look like for you? Is it all ducks in a row? the picketed fence, children, marriage etc. You and only you can define what success is. Take a minute and define success for you. Being willing to take risks and go the extra mile to achieve better things. Admitting your mistakes, and learning from them. Not governing your behavior based on what other people think. Not staying in your comfort zone, fearing failure, and so avoid taking risks. Being confident - confident people are generally more positive they believe in themselves and their abilities, and they also believe in living life to the fullest. Activity. Where do you see yourself in a year? (short) Where do you see yourself in 5? (long) How do you plan to get there? Jot down 3 things that you will work on immediately to help you achieve your goal. Lets take your career as an example. What would your definition of success be for your career? Then dig deep to see what are your own strengths and weaknesses. Which would help you achieve it? Which of your weakness is a barrier, and does it go against your values? Again knowing how and what to prioritize will be key. When defining your success, remember this important thing. Success is a journey. It has multiple peaks, sometimes valleys and not one ultimate pinnacle. One success builds on another. Setbacks and mistake will also help you build success. At different periods of your life, success is defined differently so think outside the box. Time management and priorities are key Plan ahead and start early Stay motivated/ stay focus Be collaborative and build camaraderie
