Software

Windows-based software and computer models have been prepared for student and professional use in the past several years. Titles include a deer population model, multi-criteria decision model, mammal weight model, body composition models, ecological metabolism models, a ruminant thermal energetic model, habitat evaluation and carrying capacity models, censusing simulations, and various dichotomous keys and decision aids. The software cited below was distributed widely from 1986 to 1991; an automated version is currently being prepared.
