Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad that so many people are happy to help support our society, and the task of spreading the use of dowsing skills.

“There is a practical, exciting journey waiting for everyone interested in the dowsing skills. It can lead by progressive expansion of thought to perceptions far beyond the normal restrictions of our five senses.” (Hamish Miller)

Until next time.. François

An Introduction to Water-Finding ~Site Dowsing~ by Will Hazell

British Society of Dowsers, March 1996

Although many water-finders map-dowse an area before visiting it, earlier dowsers would discuss the client’s requirements, and then

proceed direct to the area. In ‘Springs of Water’, Ben Tompkins describes how he ‘covered the field in sections’ by using the grid method shown in Fig 1.

After some years of experience, Ben Tompkins became aware that the V-rod he was holding would point to the left or right as though seeking to indicate where the underground stream flowed.

He took note of this occurrence and de-veloped it; eventually he noted that, “by crossing a property in a few directions, I am able to determine whether a spring exists; and so I start the important part of my work without unnecessary fatigue.”

To Ben Tompkins must be given the credit of being one of the first, if not the first water-finder, to use the ‘scanning’ or ‘directional’ method.

Many other water-finders now use this scanning method. K.W Merrylees refers to a ‘simple test to find out which way to go.’ He states, “The V-rod tells me the nearest way to the flow; this side or that side; and I start off in the direction indicated, usually saying out loud, “Is there any water where I am going?””

K.W Merrylees describes how he walked in the direction indicated until he obtained a pattern indicating water. As he approached the centre of

the stream, he noted how this pattern manifested itself; and when he crossed the centre line, he again noted that the pattern repeated itself on the other side. Similar methods were used by water-finders to indicate flow of underground streams.

In his account of his work, Merrylees concluded, “It is the lack of under-standing of the flow pattern that leads to wells being sited on outer bands instead of the centre of the flow.” This concept of ‘flow patterns’ has also been discussed under headings such as, ‘bands of influence’, or ‘parallels’, or ‘lines of force.’

The Abbe Mermet describes how the dowser will first meet the ‘Great Parallel’ at point ‘A’ in Fig 3; the pendulum will start to oscillate in line with the flow.

The dowser will then proceed at right angles to this parallel and will enter the ‘1st Zone’; when point ‘B’ has been reached, the pendulum will start to oscillate to-ward the stream.

These oscillations will gradually become small circles, and finally change from circles to ellipses; fi-nally, when the dowser reaches the centre of the stream, the pendu-lum will oscillate in-line with the flow.

Diverse opinions regarding ‘parallels’

Although the theory of parallels appears reasonable and has won support, not all dowsers agree. It is somewhat disconcerting to know that one suc-cessful dowser finds certain bands of influence in connection with a

Page 6: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

stream, but other successful dowsers are quite unable to do so.

An alternative point of view is clearly presented in ‘Dowsing: One Man’s Way’ by J. Scott Elliot; he writes, “I have carefully avoided any recognition of any form of bands in my dowsing, and look on them as a dangerous nui-sance. If looking for water, I deal directly with the edges of the stream itself only, and avoid anything to do with bands.”

Relationship between direction of flow and parallels

The rod lifts when I am going against the stream and dips when going with it. By applying this check, the water-finder ensures that he is dows-ing over the stream, and not over one of the parallels. When you are go-ing along their line (one of the parallels) there is no movement of the rod as there is when walking along the stream itself.

lf the direction of flow is from the direction in which you are facing, the rod lifts. If you walk along this indicated direction and the rod lifts, then it indicates that you are truly on the stream. The outer trios (of parallels) produce no indication with this test.

The Triangulation Method

The triangulation method is also used in site dowsing. While asking a question such as, “What is the nearest direction to the stream?” the dowser holds the V-rod in the search position and stands at one edge of the field. He then pivots around until a dowsing response takes place; he will then insert pegs to show the direction he is facing.

The next action is to move a short distance along, and repeat the opera-tion. The point indicated where the lines cross is the optimum position for the bore.

Depthing

Many professionals are amazingly accurate in their estimates; so close to

Page 7: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

the mark are they, that one is compelled to conclude that they employ some fixed and reliable formula.

In the year 1770, the Bishop of Grenoble and the dowser M. Bleton de-vised what became known as ‘The Bishop’s Rule.’ Bleton inserted a peg at one edge of the stream; then while holding the V-rod in the search posi-tion, he walked out at right-angles to the stream, and stopped at the point where a dowsing response occurred; he inserted another peg at this point.

The distance between the two pegs, ‘D’ and ‘H’ in Fig 4 was accepted as equal to the depth of the stream. This method was proved reliable, and many dowsers accepted it.

Fig 4.Depth and quantity.

‘C’ is the underground stream.

‘C’ to’ H’ is the depth equal to distance ‘H’ to ‘E’ or ‘H’ to ‘D’.

The distance ‘D’ to ‘F’ (or ‘E’ to ‘G’) is referred to as the ‘zone of quan-tity’.

When you have found the width of a source, mark with a peg the place where the movement of the V-rod began to be felt; then slowly walk from this peg until the movement of the V-rod has ceased; mark this place with a second peg. Measure the distance between the pegs, and the depth will be found to be equal to this.

Repeat the operation on the other side of the stream to assure yourself of the accuracy. The two measurements must be equal.

Page 8: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

The Bishop’s rule assumes that a definite beam of rays emerges from the subterranean object at an angle of 45 degrees to the ground surface, hit-ting the latter at a distance equal to the depth. But it has time and again been found unreliable in practice, except perhaps where a wet surface layer acts as a transverse conductor.

Where there is diversity of strata, and particularly where there are thick beds of clay, this method is of little value in estimating depth. A more accurate means of predicting depth is known as the Point-Depth method which was invented by Major R. Creyke, who had a considerable reputa-tion as a geologist and a dowser.”

The Creyke Point-Depth method

The ‘point’ used by Major R. Creyke in his method of ‘depthing’ con-sisted of a metal rod inserted into the ground at the centre of the stream band. This rod acts as a radiating point and while it is in position, radia-tions from other objects will not be felt by the dowser.

While holding the V-rod in the search position, the dows-er walks outwards from the rod at any angle within a 50 degree arc (Fig 5).

At a certain distance away from the stream, the rod will lift sharply; a couple of feet or more beyond, the lift will fade out; and the counter pressure applied to the rod will make it flip down. The spots where these reactions occur should be marked, and their dis-tances from the ‘point’ measured.”

As an example, the figure of 57 feet is given for the first measurement, and is regarded as the depth to the top of the stream; the figure of 60 feet

Page 9: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

Dowsers Society of NSW – April 2017 Page 9

is given for the depth to the bottom of the stream.

If the stream band (the width of the stream) is narrow, and the depth band is wide, the flow of water is along a steeply inclined fissure.

Experiments have been made with various rods of copper, zinc, iron, and a special alloy known as mumetal; this is a magnetic permeable nickel-iron alloy. It has been stated that the ‘lift’ of the V-rod is sharp when a soft-iron point is used; but an even sharper lift occurs when a mumetal point is used. The rod is half-an-inch in diameter, and as long as the aver-age walking stick; about six or seven inches of the rod are inserted into the ground.

“The Point-depth method is the most reliable method known”, stated J. Cec-il Maby. And another eminent dowser, A.C. Williamson has stated, “I use the Point-depth method; it is the results that count; and these can be very good.”

The count-down method

If you cannot use the Bishop’s Rule when dowsing on a site, you can stand over the water and count down. Take my pendulum, and when you are working over water, the pendulum will start revolving directly you are over the centre of the water.

As you start counting down in metres, the pendulum will keep revolving until you have counted down to the level of the water, as if your feet were in the water.

Some dowsers start the dowse by asking, ‘Is the stream at a depth of more than 20 feet?’ This ensures that they are not dowsing for surface-drained water. If a positive response occurs, the dowser will increase the figure by an agreed amount until a change in the direction of rotation takes place; when a decided change occurs, the number indicated will be the estimate of depth.

Page 10: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

Page 10 Dowsers Society of NSW – April 2017

A V-rod may also be used when depthing. The dowser holds the rod in the search position over the centre of the stream band while asking ques-tions similar to those when ‘depthing’ with a pendulum. The rod will ei-ther dip or rise when the depth to the stream has been reached.

There is always a possibility that another stream may be flowing beneath the first one. Just after the swing of the pendulum has changed direction and become negative, it will again become positive and continue rotating until you are down to the second fissure.

Estimating Flow

Some water-finders use the counting method to estimate the flow or yield of a stream. They start by thinking about the flow, while they allow the pendulum to swing freely; then while maintaining a relaxed atten-tion, they start counting according to a scale of equivalents that have previously been agreed; for instance, one rotation of the pendulum may indicate an increase of 200 gallons per hour flow.

When a change in the movement of the pendulum occurs, the figure reached at this point is accepted as equivalent to the flow.

Quality of the Water

Using the Mager rosette

With the pendulum held in the right-hand, and the Mager rosette (Fig 6) held between finger and thumb of the left hand, stand over the centre of the stream band, and al-low the pendulum to rotate in a ‘positive’ di-rection.

Note the response that occurs as you move your hold from one segment to the next. An

increase in the speed of rotation may be regarded as a positive response.

Page 11: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

Dowsers Society of NSW – April 2017 Page 11

As the interpretation of a dowsing response depends on the individual, there may be some variations regarding such interpretations. One ar-rangement is: Violet indicates pure and wholesome water; Blue means that the water is suitable for animals; Grey is allied with pollution; Black indicates that either lead or another metal is held in the water, and there-fore the water is not potable.

Using a sample to test quality of the water

If you carry a sample of what you are looking for the V-rod will go down only for that particular sample. The theory is that the radiations from the water must be identical to those emanating from the sample; otherwise a dowsing response will not occur.

When you go looking for water, carry a bottle filled with water; not just water from the tap or from a cistern that is used to collect rain water; but the kind of water you are likely to find in the area you are dowsing. hold the bottle in one hand while you dowse with the other.

When discussing the role of a sample in dowsing, the Abbe Mermet re-fers to ‘a line of sympathy’ that is set up between two bodies of the same nature. “If you are looking for water”, states the Abbe “I hold in my hand a tube containing water.” The effect of resonance is at play here and is enhanced by using a witness of the same type of water thought after. This will work as well for minerals in search for metal ores for example.

Using the counting method to test quality

While holding in your mind the number ten as the optimum equivalent of pure water, allow the pendulum to rotate freely, and ask a question such as:

‘What is the equivalent number for this water; is it ten, nine, eight, or lower?’ Note the point when a change occurs in the movement of the pendulum; this indicates the degree of potability.

Page 12: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

Page 12 Dowsers Society of NSW – April 2017

Using a pendulum to determine quality

Stand in the centre of the stream band, and allow the pendulum to gain a strong gyration (in a positive direction); then hold it over the upturned palm of your left hand. If the gyrations increase, this indicates that the water is acceptable; but if a change of direction occurs, this means that the water is definitely harmful for you to drink.

Strata

To determine strata, you may use methods similar to those used when ‘depthing’ a stream.

The need to know about strata depends on the dowser’s knowledge of the area; for instance, in a mountainous district, the dowser may rely on the experience of the driller regarding equipment needed; but where there may be sandstone or clay, a more detailed assessment must be made.

“The first thing to do when looking for water is to look for clay”, stated the eminent dowser, H.W. Lea-Wilson. “A stream may be 15 feet under clay in one place, yet some 50 yards away, that stream is free from overhead clay.”

According to Cyril Wilson, “No dowser should dowse without gaining as much knowledge as possible of the geological background of the site.”

Conclusion

Since 1933 when the British Society of Dowsers was founded, many water-finders have reported the many successes they have achieved. Only a few of the methods they have used have been discussed in this article; thanks are given to the several experts who have been generous in provid-ing the data on which this article is based.

In Service to Spirit ~ One Medium's Spiritual Awakening ~

By Cindy Kay JonesReprinted from the Journal of the Ozark Research Institute

Winter 2016

Spiritual Awakening...sounds like a beautiful experience...one in which you

awaken enlightened as you emerge this brand new being breathing with clarity to a new way of living consciously.

Cue my meditative music, pour me a cup of herbal tea, and do not disturb me whilst I sit here going within. Easy peasy right? Not even close my friends. The following is a true account of my Spiritual Awaken-ing, and just as when any new creation is birthed, those labour pains were brutal and I found myself searching for something to hold onto.

I grew up in the small Ozark town of Exeter, MO. During the 1960's and 1970's my grandparents had a working farm in a very rural area of Exeter. My grandmother, Ole Jones, had a nursing home within their residence with at least 6 or 7 ‘old people’ (as my four year old self would refer to them) in her charge. This was a different era as adults did not explain things to children.

I just knew that my grandma took care of old people and I was not sup-posed to talk to them whatsoever; so I obeyed. My grandmother took meticulous care of each and every person that came to live with her, fix-ing their meals, washing their clothes, tending to their every need. I be-lieved that everyone's grandma must do this for the old people that lived in their house too. Then one day something changed and my four year

Page 14: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

old soul was not prepared to deal with it.

I noticed that when I walked towards the back part of my grandparent's home - particularly the part where the ‘old people’ lived - that I quickly became physically ill. My stomach became nauseous, my heart began to incessantly pound, and the worst part of it was that I could feel every-thing...so much fear and dread. It was not a pleasant experience at all to which I quickly bolted and ran outside to escape. I would later learn that a man, my grandmother had taken care of, had passed away. One by one, each elderly soul, in that house died and I could sense their Spirit pres-ence very strongly. I could sense them in my body, I knew that a man had heart issues, sick to his stomach, felt him right next to me. I did see Spirit as a child but overwhelmingly I could feel them. They never tried to hurt or scare me. They only tried to communicate with me - but I was only four - and I perceived those experiences as terrifying.

The hallway that led to each charge's room was long and dark. It remind-ed me of the story ‘The Headless Horseman’ and that if I could make it back to the living room on the other side of the hallway, then they had no power over me and I would be safe. I was living between two worlds - the Physical and the Spirit World. I eventually reached out to my Moth-er who dismissed my pleas for help. I was blamed for being lazy, lying, not wanting to clean the rooms, and day dreaming. If she only knew that it was more of a living nightmare.

My earliest memory of Spirit is about the age of two. I remember them being a presence I sensed and played with. Four is the age that I became bombarded by the Spirit World. I was a shy child, but became even more so, and developed a stutter. Living in a small town, as I did, your class-mates were also your cousins. They knew that there was something dif-ferent about Cindy but no one really knew the truth. I reached out to other family members for help only to be overlooked and dismissed. Each time Spirit communicated with me my world became smaller and began to shape my life's journey.

I do not come from a family that was interested in metaphysics or the afterlife. My dad was a truck driver, and my mum worked in the local shoe factory. I did not grow up in a religious household, but I have al-ways known that our Spirits live on as I could see and feel Spirits around people. I also knew things about our home that a four year old should never know. I knew that my family had money struggles, despite my par-ents never talking about any of their financial situation with me. I knew and sensed emotions in other people and felt them in my body. One day, I was lying in bed, holding my hand up above me, mesmerized by the vi-brant colors forming the outline. I heard a friendly voice from within me say “This is your aura”.

A feeling of trust and excitement filled my heart! I had received an answer and the comforting sensa-tion of “the voice” clung to me like a close friend.

My experiences with the Spirit World continued throughout my child-hood into adolescence. I desperately wanted to fit in at school so I tried my best to suppress my spiritual gifts. I found this to be not 100% effec-tive, but enough to get sleep to function, and most of all, for me, coming out of my shell in order to make friends. So I went through the motions of life doing my best to ignore the Spirit World. My strategy began to unravel in 2007 - the year of my ‘Spiritual Awakening.’

The year 2007 would prove to be the beginning of a difficult time profes-sionally for me. I worked in the area of law and my psychic awareness was intensely amplifying. I had always had a ‘knowing’ about the court cases that I was working on, but all my sensory perception - especially my psy-chic perception was on overload. Just like when I was a child, the other side was also drawing close to me and once again I felt scared.

Page 16: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

Page 16 Dowsers Society of NSW – April 2017

My only child graduated high school in 2010 and I had an empty nest. The sound of silence was deafening. I could hear and feel the ‘other side’ and to the best of my ability tried to ignore what was happening. In 2012 my precious dog Sissy died. She had been with me for almost 13 years. That is a lot of life experience with a soul. Again, I could feel and hear her passing into Spirit, every struggle for breath and the release as she slipped out of her body into Spirit. There are too many accounts of Spirit in my home to mention here, but always knowing that their presence was in-tensifying. I collapsed out of sheer exhaustion at work one day and it was a wake up that I needed help.

I was guided to a Shaman in Oklahoma. Once a week, for well over a year, I went to her.

I had never been to a Shaman, didn't know about metapsy-chics, and had never listened to someone talk to me about thoughts and energy. She talked to me about the power of my thoughts and how I had attracted every-thing that had ever happened to me. I was so angry at her! How could she blame me for what was happening! She told me, with a smile, that “One day you will be glad that this happened to you.” I seriously considered walking out of the room. But thankfully I stayed.

Once our work together was finished she asked me if I was interested in taking one of her Animal Communication Workshops. She is also a very well-known Animal Communicator and I certainly had great faith in her abilities so I said yes. The next month was my first introduction into the fascinating world of inter-species communication. I began to shadow her at events, sitting at her side, reading clients animals. It was an amazing experience.

Another intuitive professional suggested that I meet a medium that lived

Page 17: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

in my area. She felt that this woman would be able to help me as well. I began to search for this medium and found her. I attended her Circle and knew that I felt at home. Like minded people coming together to develop and grow. This medium also gave me a spiritual assessment and told me that I was a born medium but untrained - and that if I wanted to seek out training that I would do well for myself. So I had to make a hard choice. Reveal to my family, friends, church, that I would be living a ‘life of service’ as a Medium or completely shut down my gift forever.

I chose the path of Mediumship and Animal Communication. Shortly thereafter I began to lose friends, as I went public and revealed what had always been a part of my life. My church no longer was a place that wel-comed me, my home felt uneasy, and family members began to question my motives. This was what my Spiritual Awakening looked like and yet it was the beginning of the most beautifully unfinished painted master-piece set out before me. My development training eventually has led me to World Renowned Psychic Mediums and Animal Communicators who I am personally mentored by.

I currently live in Oklahoma and have clients that I ‘read’ all over the world. I connect people with their loved ones on the other side. I can also communicate with animals and aid in connecting people with their furry friends. All this from a child who was so afraid of the dark but now knows and trusts that there is nothing to fear in the true light of Spirit.

I facilitate Animal Communication Workshops and demonstrate through-out the world, in person or on Skype.

I teach on Telepathy, particularly what the methods of intuitive communication looks like, how does a Telepathic thought form in our mind, enter the mind of an animal, and become communica-

Page 18: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

Page 18 Dowsers Society of NSW – April 2017

tion that we humans can understand. We are born with this gift but it is the verbal communication in babies that is most encouraged; so our tel-epathic muscle goes unused.

I also teach about How to Build Your Power Through Your Chakras. Building Power is essential to an Intuitive Medium and Animal Com-municator's Work. It takes energy to start to build a link with Spirit, sustain the link, and trust that the communication that you are receiving is genuine. Chakras are energy centers in our bodies and also in our ani-mal friend’s bodies. Balanced Chakras spin clockwise and go counter-clockwise when they are unbalanced. Happy pet owners make for happy calm pets and vice versa. Unhappy pet owners make for unhappy pets. There are seven main Chakras that I teach in my workshops, Root, Sa-cral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and Crown. Each energy center plays a pivotal role in an animal’s behavior and well-being.

I also teach on How to Trust Your Intuition and Spirit. I believe that eve-ryone has a psychic ability given to us by the Divine. It is only when you learn to trust your gut that the difference is made. How do you do that? Devote time to meditate each day. Learning to quiet the rodeo in your head, stilling those thoughts which rattle around is just the beginning of your psychic development. You will begin to trust and know the Spirit World more as you spend time in silence. It is a beautiful and wonderful experience indeed.

Losing a loved one can be devastating and extremely difficult process to endure. Mediumship should always be a healing experience to the curi-ous or those longing for comfort. My passion is connecting people with their loved ones in Spirit and allowing people to receive messages from their furry babies. I live a life of service to bring comfort to those hurting hearts. My passion is to bring evidence to the world that our soul lives on, that our animal friends can communicate telepathically with us, and that there is so much more to this physical world than our eyes can truly perceive.

A group of seventeen people attended the Water Dowsing weekend at Tabrabucca, Trevor Harding’s property, near Mudgee. A nicely con-

verted shearers’ quarters accommodated the group very comfortably.

Most of the attendees arrived on the Friday, and some the follow-ing morning. Trevor took a group water dowsing in various parts of his property.

Trevor favoured an L-rod made of heavy fencing wire, but some students found lighter rods more suitable for the purpose, and some preferred V-rods. Trevor showed us how to find underground water, and how to trace an existing underground stream to its origin in a field past the barn. Once everyone was comfortable with the procedure, Trevor took us up the nearby hill to trace other underground streams.

In the afternoon the party went to the standing stone circle which had been commissioned by a local lady, Helen Christianson. This is not a replica of Stonehenge, but a circular collection of stand-ing stones which is double the Stonehenge area, and had only been completed in the last two months.

The circle was surrounded on three sides by pano-ramic views of the mountains, including sharp volcanic peaks and mesa-like flat topped hills. The

stones looked very effective, particularly at a distance, although most of the stones are smaller than those of Stonehenge.

Oddly enough, most people we spoke to at nearby Ralston had never heard of the stone circle, nor of another, smaller stone circle built some time ago, also by Helen.

We didn’t get to see the smaller stone circle as it was ten kilometres in the opposite direction. Interestingly, Trevor said that a stone circle would usually attract a stream, and the smaller circle has done so. A nearby stream developed a flow to the centre of the circle and then returned to the main stream, joining it at right angles.

Helen gets a great many interstate and overseas visitors to the larger stone circle. It is likely that rituals will be held here, and the circle will become an attraction for the area.

That evening the group had dinner at Ralston Hotel, where Trevor was given a bottle of Black Label Whiskey in appreciation of his contribution to Dowsing over many years. On the way back two members of the group hit a kangaroo, but fortunately damage to their vehicle was slight.

On the Sunday, the weather was overcast and Trevor took a slightly re-duced group out to find the origin and depth of underground springs in the hills. Water, it seems, comes up from very deep underground to emerge at the top of the hill, although this does not always reach the sur-face. It then forms what is called a ‘blind spring,’ (British Society of Dows-

ers), or a ‘dome’ by Ameri-can dowsers, underground.

Usually an odd number of underground streams or wa-ter veins spring from the dome. Water dowsers usual-ly estimate the largest vein

and drill downstream of the dome in that vein. Drilling too close to the dome will cause the dome to lose its water, probably due to the siphon-ing effect.

We again climbed the hill that overlooks Trevor’s property and found two springs at the top which had come up in a spiral. They did not emerge on the top but did so fur-ther down the side of the hill.

New faces at the weekend included David Watson, who is becoming a member, our speaker for March, Roman, who unfortu-nately had to leave owing to illness, and Paul, down from Campbelltown.

Special thanks are due to Dawn for organ-ising the seminar and for Amalia for help-ing on the weekend. Both put in a huge

amount of effort organizing the weekend. Gordon de L. Marshall

What are the Hermetic Laws? Report on last month’s presentation by Roman Light

Hermeticism is a philosophical and esoteric or occult doctrine

based primarily on writings attrib-uted to the ancient Egyptian god and scribe to the gods called Hermes Trismegistus (Thrice Great), or Thoth.

Hermetics is a whole doctrine, a very deep elaborate doctrine based on many different observations by many ancient cultures. It was the basis of the magnificent cultures such as Egypt and Atlantis, and was the foun-dational philosophy of many revered scholars such as Plato.

These writings greatly influenced the Western esoteric traditions and sci-entists like Newton. They were the greatest impetus for the Renaissance artists like Michelangelo and later the Reformation. It is the doctrine of forbidden secret knowledge, alchemy and magic. For thousands of years of history this sacred knowing was only transmitted in Mystery Schools to empower and enlighten the rulers.

The foundation of this doctrine is based on seven Principles which stem from Natural Laws, also called the Universal Laws or Hermetic Laws. These seven Hermetic Principles (discussed in our Hermetic course) are based on the book ‘The Kybalion’ written by The Three Initiates, who recently decided to reveal and share this forbidden knowledge with hu-manity.

The seven principles are:1. The Principle of Mentalism.2. The Principle of Correspondence.3. The Principle of Vibration

Page 23: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web April 2017... · 2018-11-09 · Through dowsing we have access to unlimited inner resources. I am so glad

4. The Principle of Polarity5. The Principle of Rhythm6. The Principle of Cause and Effect7. The Principle of Gender.

The first question to ask is “What is Reality? What is Consciousness? Do you really know?” ninety nine percent of people don’t know. That is why our course was created. What if the Reality you know isn’t real? The movie ‘The Matrix’ explored this idea, questioned our current Reality, and gave us some possible thoughts about other Realities. Why? Who or What are we?

We all know that our modern physics started officially with Newton. But did you know Newton was an alchemist for 30 years before he started being a physicist? The father of our western modern medicine and mod-ern physics was an alchemist and knew these Hermetic Principles first. They have actually found his note books to prove it.

Another question to ask is “What did the ancient powerful civilizations of Egypt know that we do not? And how did they create their Realities?” Their rulers knew and worked with the Hermetic Laws. What are they based on? Is it also a matrix? How would we find out?

Why is Hermetic knowledge so important? Because when we discover and understand this forbidden secret knowledge, we will become more enlightened with a much deeper understanding of our Reality and how we also help to create it. Empowered with this ancient secret knowledge, we can possibly know ourselves and our Reality for the very first time.

Then we will have the power to create our Reality, not a matrix reality made by others for humanity. It is time. Enjoy the journey.

Blessings Roman Light

Upcoming Seminars

The goal of our Society is to promote dowsing. To this effect from time to time we hold training seminars for beginners and for ad-

vanced dowsers. We are proud to announce two new seminars coming up. You can find the details and a registration form currently on our web-site at: http://www.dowsingaustralia.com/seminars.htm

Further details and registration forms will be available in the May and June edition of this newsletter.

Spaces in the seminars are very sought after and fill quickly, so it is rec-ommended to register in advance. You can contact our seminar coordi-nator Dawn Heller to register. (contact details on back page)

The first seminar on June 18th ‘Existence is Vibration’ is a morning seminar with tutor Maggie Lowe, followed by our normal June meeting.

The second seminar on July 30th ‘Beginners’ & Refresher seminar’ is a whole day seminar, with tutor Maggie Lowe.

These seminars provide a great environment to learn or to enhance your dowsing. The seminars are held in a friendly and creative atmosphere with our Dowsing Tutor Maggie Lowe.

Maggie has a real gift for helping people to get in touch with the gift of dowsing which is present, but dormant, in most people.

Library NewsBook ReviewStalking the Wild Pendulum: On the Mechanics of Consciousnessby Itzhak Bentov

Amazon review:Itzhak invites us in innocently enough by talk of vibrations and frequency. Next thing you know he’s discussing frequency coherency and holograms. Suddenly, you’re strapped in and he’s pushed you off the edge and you are on a crazy ‘Bentov Bender’ zip line through the con-sciousness of the cosmos. Hang on.

Forty years after this was written, I believe this book still pushes the edge of what we think about our place in the Universe, ourselves as holograms, and how Con-sciousness interacts with the Universe.

Everything comes down to frequency. Get the right frequency and you entrain with the cosmos. Your energy can travel around the world seven times a second. His own model of the Universe (even designed after a jelly doughnut) complete with Black Holes, White Holes, Matter, an Axis of Time, Light Escapement, the Universal Mind Hologram, Expan-sion and Informational Fields of Energy. Discussions on Relative Reali-ties, Levels of Evolution and Consciousness Hierarchies.

Ideas suggesting Poltergeists, ESP, Psychokinesis, Psychic Healing and other phenomena, Telepathy, and Mystical experiences are all just con-sciousness on a higher level. A real masterpiece of creativity and a pleth-ora of crazy ideas, mixed with plenty of hand drawn graphs and doodles to exemplify his points. Helen

Speaker for May 21st, 2017Jenny Lee-Robins

- Th e Missing Link in our DNA is not Human -

Jenny Lee-Robins is a piano teacher of 54 years, has been a High School

Music Teacher, a composer of piano music for children and a student of As-trology for 20 years.

Jenny has been giving talks on astrology and other topics at the Theosophical Society from time to time. She has ex-plored and experimented with many different spiritual and healing modali-ties such as Thought Field Therapy, Reconnective Healing, Myers Briggs Personality Assessment, and Silva Mind Technique; and as an Amateur Theatre / Theatre Restaurant participant, Musical Director and Choral Director.

Why do many sources say our ancestors came from the stars? Why do many structures line up with the Pleiades Star cluster and Orion Star System?

Are we, as many Indigenous people claim, descended from spiritual beings from another dimension and other star systems?

Jenny will attempt to convey how the missing link in our DNA is of Pleiadian origin and other star systems; how various structures are aligned with the Pleiades and how everyday references refer to the Pleiades (7 Sisters) Star cluster.
