LODESTAR TOURS POLICIES / Q&A'S Lodestar strives to offer each of our customers Quality Tours at Affordable Prices. In order for us to continue to provide these excellent prices, we need to meet a minimum number of passengers for each of our tours. If you are interested in one of our tours, please book early and encourage your friends and families to do so as well. Many of our tours fill quickly and we don’t want to disappoint you by not having enough room to accommodate you. We hope to see you all on some of our trips in 2017!

Policy for children traveling: Children must be 8 years or older to travel on our motorcoaches. This is a requirement of our insurance company.

RESERVATIONS / PAYMENTS

ONE – DAY TOURS: PAYMENT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF DATE OF BOOKING for at least one person in your party. If you are traveling with a larger group, our tour consultants will advise you what payment is needed. We do not accept payment of less than the cost of the day trip (No partial payments).

The balance for the remaining passenger(s) will be due 40 days prior to trip departure. When there are concert or show tickets involved, payment in full is required at the time of sign up.

MULTI - DAY TOURS: The deposit required is listed on the tour flyer and is due within two weeks of the date you make your reservation. The remaining balance is due no later than the date listed on the tour flyer. No billing will be made, so please mark your calendars in order to ensure that your payment is sent in on time.

Please note that you risk the chance of your reservation being cancelled if payment is not received on time.

Lodestar accepts payment on tours in the form of cash, personal checks or credit cards. Our prices are based on cash or checks. If you wish to use your credit card or debit card, there will be a 3.5% service fee added to your tour price for credit cards and 2.5% fee for debit cards. This service charge does not apply to cruise packages with the cruise line charge. However, the service fee may apply to any additional features of a cruise tour.

REFUND POLICY

AIR OR CRUISE PACKAGES:

Cancellation policy that is applicable to the cruise line or tour company.

MULTI-DAY TOURS: 41+ DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE: Full refund less any non-refundable charges (i.e. theater tickets, hotel rooms, service fees).

LESS THAN 40 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE: NO REFUND UNLESS A REPLACEMENT IS FOUND

ONE DAY TOURS:

If reservations are cancelled prior to 40 days before departure, you will be charged a penalty of 50% of the cost of the trip plus any non-refundable charges (i.e. theater tickets, meals, service fees). No refund will be given to those cancelling less than 40 days prior to departure, unless a replacement is found. IF A REPLACEMENT IS FOUND, a full refund will be issued.

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS AVAILABLE AND IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Please discuss this option with one of our tour consultants at Lodestar. This insurance will protect you in the event of a sudden emergency occurring before or

during your trip that causes you to cancel. Please note that if the insurance is purchased within 7 days of initial trip payment, the Pre-Existing Medical

Condition Exclusion will be waived. You must be medically able to travel when you pay your premium.

DEPARTURE INFORMATION

Multi-Day Tours: We will mail you a departure information package approximately fourteen (14) days prior to departure (itinerary, baggage tag(s), and hotel information). In case of late bookings, departure information will be sent once final payment has been received.

One Day Tours: A receipt with the departure time and seat assignment will be given to you at the time you

make payment. Additional information will be listed on your receipt. On the day of your trip, please bring your receipt with you to assistant your escort in checking you in.

Note: Lodestar Tours does not mail tickets for the attractions, shows, etc. included on our tours. The escort will

have them in his/her possession and will distribute them on the bus.

Cruise Tours: You will be contacted by mail in regards to the pre-tour dinner. Please R.S.V.P. by the requested date. Proof of citizenship is required for all cruises. A VALID PASSPORT IS RECOMMENDED. Please speak to a tour consultant at Lodestar Tours regarding your proof of citizenship.

RESPONSIBILITY

Lodestar Tours acts only as an agent in arranging transportation, accommodations, or any optional sightseeing tours, cruises, etc. Therefore, Lodestar is not responsible for any damages, loss, delay, injury, or accident due to weather, or any act of default of any company or person engaged in providing service included in our tours. We reserve the right to cancel any tour or make changes in any itinerary as we deem necessary. Lodestar Tours is not responsible to any person for expense, loss of time or money or other circumstance resulting from a change in itinerary or change of tour arrangements. Any person may be dismissed from any tour at any time by the Tour Director or Driver in charge should his or her conduct not be in harmony with the rest of the passengers; no further obligation will be assumed by Lodestar Tours or anyone in their employ.

WHAT CLOTHING/FOOD SHOULD I BRING ON A TOUR?

Casual, comfortable clothing and walking shoes are suggested for daytime travel. Passengers may want to bring sweaters, jackets or light blankets on the coach due to air-conditioning. You are welcome to bring

snacks with you for the bus. For passengers with health problems or special diets, please bring any necessary food or drinks that are required.

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE AT LODESTAR TO DEPART FOR A TRIP? Lodestar recommends that you arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes, but no more than thirty (30) minutes prior to the departure time.

IS THERE ASSIGNED SEATING ON THE COACH? All seats are reserved at the time you book your tour. The earlier you book your tour, the better chance you will

have to get the seat of your choice.

WHAT IF I NEED TWO BEDS IN MY ROOM AND CAN I REQUEST A SMOKING ROOM? If you need two double beds in your room, please request that at the time of booking. We request non-smoking for all hotel rooms. If you prefer to stay in a smoking room, please advise us at the time of booking so we can try to accommodate your request. Lodestar Tours cannot guarantee two double beds at every hotel or smoking rooms, but we will certainly do our best to meet the requests of all our passengers.

IS THE DRIVER’S GRATUITY INCLUDED? Yes, we include the driver’s gratuity on all of Lodestar tours.

WHAT IS YOUR SMOKING POLICY ON YOUR MOTOR COACHES? For the comfort of all passengers, smoking is not permitted on any of Lodestars motor coaches. Rest stops will be made frequently (every 2-3 hours) to accommodate those who wish to smoke and to allow a comfort stop for all of our passengers.
