The Anaconda fittings are easy to install. Place the counter nut (part A) with the thread to thefront over the conduit, place the plastic sealring (part B) over the conduit, turn the ferrule (part C)in the conduit (hand-tight), place the body (part D) and screw the counter nut hand-tight.Afterwards with a wrench 1 or 2 turns and the fitting is installed IP 67 liquid-tight.

ANA CONDA SL / SL B / SL I / UI condu i ts

The Anaconda fittings are easy to install. Place the counter nut (part A) with the thread to thefront over the conduit, place the metal clamp-ring (part B), turn the ferrule (part C) in the conduit(hand-tight), place the body (part D) and screw the counter nut hand-tight. Afterwards with awrench 1 or 2 turns and the fitting is tightly installed.

A N A C O N D A C O N D U I T E A S Y T O I N S T A L L

With a large diversity of applications, usage and installation, there is a variety of possibilities for cutting, sawingof conduit. In this overview we will try to mention the most important.

Sawing in a product ion environment

The easiest way to cut Anaconda conduit in a production environment is with a band saw.By using a 4 - 5 mm wide, 0,6 - 0,8 mm thick and 24 teeth band, on high speed, all conduits withoutcover are easy to cut. Conduit with cover will need a band with about ca. 20 teeth at a mediumspeed. All safety precautions should be taken care of.

For braided conduit, we advise to put a band of masking tape over the conduit before cutting,at the site of the cut, this also makes fittings easier to install.

For full-plastic conduits the same procedure can be used, cutting with a craft knife is also an option.

At larger sizes, from 1 1/2, the usage of a cutting-flex is an option.

The easiest way to cut Anaconda conduit without a cover, in a non-production environmentis with a hacksaw.

Another often used method is to break the conduit (only possible with square-locked profile)and cut it with tin snips or steel shears.

The Anamet type S.L. conduit is based on the square-locked Anaconda Sealtite

construction which results in a good mechanical stability and extreme flexibility. The

S.L. is made of galvanised steel and is being applied as an instrumentation hose inthe steel and aluminium foundry industry, machine and apparatus-building and the

security industry. The S.L. is exellent to protect cables against metal particles and

against vandalism or rodents.

Construction : Galvanized steel, square-locked.

Temperature : -55C to +300C.

Colour : metal coloured.

S.L.B.: Flexible and robus t

Type Multiflex S.L.B. is very useful for situations where a robust metal conduit and a

high flexibility are demanded. This conduit has a square-locked construction in

combination with a galvanized steel braid. In combination with the special fittings thisconduit is easy and quick to install. Type Multiflex S.L.B. is particularly used in

(mechanical) critical situations, such as machinebuilding, steel works but also in

transport systems and security. The S.L.B. is excellent in protecting cables against

metal particles and against vandalism or rodents.

AN AC ONDA f it t in gs for S.L. / S.L. B. / S.L .I .These IP 40 straight fitt ings have a temperature range of -45C til l +250oC. The cable-hose fitting has a temperature range of -40oC till +100oC, in case

of a cable-hose fitting an IP rate for the switchbox of IP 68 can be obtained. Anaconda ISO fittings are available from stock. Please note that the connection

set will be delivered separately. There are more combinations of fittings possible for the SL / SLB / SLI conduits. All fittings mentioned on the pages 34 till 39in combination with the connection set of page 13 are possible. At temperatures above 105C the NBR O-ring must be removed, a Neoprene sealring can be

an option (see page 39).

The construction of the R.W.S. conduit is square-locked, due to its round form the

compression and impact resistance is very high. The R.W.S. complies to the heavyUL standard and is suitable for applications where besides flexibility a high mechanical

resistance is demanded. The R.W.S. is frequently used in heavier applications in the

machine and apparatus-building such as; kitchen apparatus, cool- , freeze-apparatus

and other industrial appliances, in particular those for export purposes.

The U.I. conduit is fully inter-locked and therefore extremely compression and

impact resistant. Type U.I is very well suited for applications where next to

The ult imate heatprotection for cables

Up to approximately +100C most conduits offer good cable protection. Metal conduit itself withstands highertemperatures (up to +600C), but have limited insulation properties. Proper heat protection and insulation can be

provided by a high insulating outer jacket with protective cover, for example Hiprojacket and Hiprotape from Anamet

Europe B.V.. Hiprojacket and Hiprotape offer high temperature protection and the outer cover offers excellent re-

sistance to most industrial chemicals and hydraulic oils and are used in glass-, steel-, ceramics industry, steelworks,furnishing, machine- and aparatus-industry.

Construction : Woven fibre glass, the method of production creates a hollow space between outside

and inside cover.

Cover specifications : Ironoxyde silicon rubber. Withstands melted metal and intense heat radiation.

Special approvals : NFF 16-101: class I2, Oxygenindex LOI = 42,5 , flameretardant.

Temperature : +260C continous. Ti ll +1090C for approx. 20 minutes.

Till +1640C for 15-30 seconds.

Colour : Red

Hiprosiltape consists of specially compounded silicone rubber, which adheres only to itself. It is used to seal the ends of

Hiprojacket and Hiprotape or cables to prevent oil or water from wicking into the glass fibre and destroying insulationvalues. It can also be used to repair or join sections of Hiprojacket, or to provide a moisture proof seal over irregular

insulated shapes. Less expensive and more effective than clamps or liquid sealants.

N: Universal

Type N is the economical solution for the universal Anaconda Sealti te conduit type

E.F. Type N is meant for applications where no extreme external parameters have

influence on the conduit and no frequent movements are demanded. Type N is,

among others, being used in machinebuilding, woodcuttingmachinery, conection ofcontrol panels and packagingmachinery. Liquidtite N is applied for quick and easy

mounting and a reasonable mechanical protection.

Construction : Galvanized steel core, square-locked thermoplastic

(PVC compound) cover.

Cover specifications : PVC, sunlight and UV resistant, suitable for outside

and burial installation.

Temperature : -15C to +70C, intermittent up to +90C.

E.F.: Uni versal

Type E.F. is the most universal applicable Anaconda Sealtite conduit. The E.F.,

with its leadfree cover, is meant for applications where no extreme external

parameters have influence on the conduit and therefore E.F. can be used in many

areas. The E.F. is, among others, being used in the apparatus- andmachinebuilding, panelbuilding, packagingmachines, machines for the paper-

recycling industry, machines for the farmacindustry and other internal transport-

systems.

Construction : Galvanized steel core, square-locked with cord packing,

thermoplastic cover (PVC / leadfree compound for the

size 1/4 till 1 1/4). From 1 1/2 a fully inter-locked

profile will be used. From 2 1/2 the conduit will have UL

approval (type EFST/UA).

Cover specifications : PVC, for the sizes 1/4 til l 1 1/4 leadfree according

RoHS, sunlight and UV resistant, suitable for outside

and burial installation.


Colour : Grey & black (black is recommended for outside installation).

Anaconda Sealtite O.R. is special developed for areas where conduit systems are

being exposed to oils and greases. As a result of the high resistance against these

substances the flexibility of the conduit is being safeguarded. With other (non-

resistant) covers these substances can lead to stiffening or even rupture of thecover. By using a leadfree compound this conduit can be used in many areas, such

as the machine-building industry, diesel-engines, generatorsets, metalpaper,

chemical and petrochemical industry.

If we look at high temperature ranges the Anaconda Sealtite type H.C. is a good

solution. The cover maintains its flexibility under high and low temperature

conditions. Type H.C. is prefered in areas where conduit systems are being

exposed to strong variations of temperatures. Type H.C. can be used in areas

where strong temperature changes occur and is, amongst others, being applied in

trainwarningsystems, transformers, woodcuttingmachines, sawmachines, security

systems in energy plants, chemical-, ceramic- and building-industry.

H.C.X.: Extreme temperature range

Extreme cold, heat or temperature changes are conditions in which the H.C.X.

performs the best. The cover of this conduit has both a very high as low

temperature resistance, which also ensures that changes in the temperature are

not being transfered to the electrical wiring. The H.C.X. keeps its flexibility at low

temperatures. Type H.C.X. is often used in the train-building, for rolling stock and

installations, offshore, steelworks, founderies, apparatus- and machinebuilding,

especially for outside installations.

(military standard USA) and has an inter-locked construction with a bronze core.

This results in excellent shielding against electromagnetic fields, which is one of

A halogen free conduit for use in public areas. The features of the H.F.X. cover are

necessary in the field of environment and safety, as the European guidelines state

that certain areas need to be free of halogens. Another unique feature of the H.F.X.

is, that it is extremely flexible at both high as low temperatures. This makes the

H.F.X. very suitable for installations, which are subject to frequent movements. The

H.F.X. is often being applied in the subway, train and bus-building industry, in

closed areas, airports, tunnels and (subway) stations but also in the chemical- and

petrochemical-industry.

Type H.T.D.L. is the most used Anaconda Sealtite conduit with integral grounding

copper wire (ti ll 1.1/4"). The H.T.D.L. is UL & CSA approved and has a wide temperature

range. Because of the integrated copper grounding wire the H.T.D.L. also offers a fine

EMI/EMP shielding, which makes it useable for applications where a high degree of

electrical continuity is required. The H.T.D.L. perfectly suited for machines andinstallations that will be exported to countries outside Europe. You will find type

H.T.D.L. in transformers, paper-recycling machinery, internal transport, trains, airtrafic-

control, UMTS systems, machine-, paper- and apparatus-building industry.

Z.H.U.A.: UL & halogen f ree

Type Z.H.U.A. is the ultimate Anaconda Sealtite conduit with integral grounding

copper wire (till 1.1/4"). The Z.H.U.A. is UL approved and has a wide temperature

range. Because of the integrated copper grounding wire the Z.H.U.A. also offers a fine

EMI/EMP shielding, which makes it useable for applications where a high degree of

electrical continuity is required. Another unique feature of the Z.H.U.A. is, that it isextremely flexible at both high as low temperatures. The Z.H.U.A. is often being

applied in the subway, train and bus-building industry, in closed areas, airports, tunnels

and (subway) stations. Especially for exportprojects outside Europe.

Construction : Galvanized steel core, square-locked with integral copper

grounding wire, thermoplastic cover (Polyurethane,

compound). From 1 1/2 a fully inter-locked profile

will be used.

Cover specifications: Polyurethane, sunlight and UV resistant, suitable for

outside installation. The cover is good resistant against

oil and greases.

Special approvals : UL-360 (file #E18917) material classification V0 - UL94.
