“Church-Wide Clean-Up Day” on Saturday, October 11th. 9:00am

Come help us get ready for our “Homecoming” on Sunday, October

12th!

A table has been reserved for Double Springs ladies and girls at the Truth & Tea Time ladies night at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. The speaker will be former Mrs. United States - Sheri Rose Shepherd, who grew up in a dysfunctional home and was severely overweight as a young woman. In spite of her painful past, a learning disorder called dyslexia, and an English teacher telling her she was "born to lose," she, in God's strength, has sold more than one million books, and her His Princess Book Series (which Double Springs Little Princess ministry uses) was awarded the nonfiction book of the year. Sheri Rose is featured weekly and has the top video devotional for biblegateway.com. She reaches more than 30 million online viewers a week in 90 countries. Her Bible teaching was named the number one show of the year on Focus on the Family. She is blessed with 2 children, a grandbaby, and is a mentor mom to many. "Get ready to get real, get a good laugh, and fall in love with God all over again!" Check out her youtube video that is heartbreaking at the same time it is uplifting and check her website: http://hisprincess.com If you want to attend, call or message Linda Cabiness at 704.434.9462 or email: [email protected].

Dear Church family,

We need your help!!!

Our local schools collect "Box

Tops for Education" labels

and "Labels for Education"

each month. They use these

labels to receive money for

books, AR tests, technology and other school projects and

needs. You can find these labels on over 900 grocery items.

There are so many children that don't have what we take

for granted at home, such as books to read and technology

resources. Please help us collect these labels for our school

resources by cutting

the labels as you find

them and bringing them

to the Box Tops box in

the church vestibule.

We'll collect them on

the last Sunday of each

month to share among

our local schools. If you would like to designate your

collection to a specific school, please send it in a labeled

Ziploc bag!

So don't just throw away those grocery boxes if you see a

label!!! Clip it, bag it, and bring it!!!!

If you have any questions, contact Elizabeth Greene at 704-

473-1551. Thanks so much for your help!
