Hi, so your finally here at IT magazine, how are you? Hey, I’m so happy to be here!! Hopefully we will have lots of fun and I will be able to tell my story. So how you feeling about going straight to number one? It’s amazing it doesn’t even feel real; I know so many new arsts say it but I feel like one day someone is just going to wake me up. I feel so blessed to be at the point I’m at right now I did not expect it at all. The song, L8r is amazing; I’ve had it one repeat for the past week, appar- ently Katy Perry has too, how do you feel about that? It’s unbelievable, I can’t believe it at all I actually can’t and the fact Katy Perry is listening to it, I just can’t get my head around it. When I put it on YouTube I just thought it would be me and mam listening to it and maybe a few friends from college but defiantly not 4 million people, not that I’m counng. It wouldn’t surprise me if other celebries were listening to it either! I didn’t even make the song for people to love it, I just made it because I like to make music and put it out there and if people like it and want to listen to it; it’s such an added bonus. Where did the name ‘l8r’ and why wrote in that way? I think it was just because at the end of a relaonship you have to say bye to the person that you have been so close for so long and I think a lot of a rela- onship is done over text so the shorten version in text talk was a good way to say bye in a very light hearted way. I have had to come up with that meaning because I hadn’t really thought about it! Where did you find the inspiraon to write this song because it is very ‘love-y’? I think everyone has gone through life having feelings for someone and thinking there life can’t get any beer than that period of me, so I think it just came from the love and heartbreak I have gone through. How long did it take you to write the song? I have been wring songs all my life since I was so lile, making up songs and geng my mam to sit and watch me sing. I have had this song wrien for years and it’s only now I put it out there. It just comes to me over me. How are you finding the celebrity life? I think at the minute I’m really enjoying it; I like the fact that people want photos with me it’s really flaering. I really can’t complain. It’s werid and crazy though because I used to go to my town centre and be able to go about my day to day life but now I have people following me about, me and my friend went into a cafe with loads of old woman in before because we knew no one would know me, its the most peace and quiet I have had outside my own home in ages. Have you read what’s in the media about you? Oh no what have they been saying? I really don’t look because I think the purpose of my music is because I enjoy it not because I am begging for people to like me, if they don’t I can’t go around and change everyone’s opinion no one likes everyone, it’s impossible I try to take all the good things in and push all the bad comments away. I actually don’t know anyone that has cricised you, you have done so well for yourself, you should be proud. Thank you so much I really appreciate it, I’m so happy to be where I’m at right now. Any more songs on the horizon? At the minute I am wring and jong down a few things but I feel like I have to top this track and by the looks of it it’s going to be hard! People love it so much. Is there anyone that you would love to do a song with? Ed Sheeran, a hundred and ten percent. I love him, me and my sister went to go see him in concert and just fell in love with him, he is amazing I remember when he brought out his first album ‘+’ and my grandad bought it for me, I honestly thought I was the happiest girl in the world and now I have all of his albums. Do you think he would want to? I would honestly don’t know he is so talented and such an amazing man that I don’t know if he would want to work with someone like me. Would be the best thing ever if he did though I have no idea how I would react if i got a phone call off Ed Sheerans adgent, I’m excited thinking about it. Are you looking for a man? (Laughs) I’m sll only young I don’t even think I know what a man is, I think at the minute I want to live life to the full I don’t want to be ed down by a man, I want to be able to have fun I have just got to number one life is really crazy I don’t even think I have the me! If you were looking for a man what would you look for? The standard, tall, dark and handsome. If I am honest I don’t really have a type someone to have fun with and anyone that could handle my crazy-ness I would be happy with. Now clothes! How would you describe your dress sense? Well I am so surprised that my ouit choices haven’t changed I really thought they would of, but I like to shop in Top Shop and River Island I mean its not cheap but it’s not like you have to get a bank loan out to shop there unlike some places ! I don’t want to change just because i have more money now, I don’t make millions, I would like to but I don’t so I don’t want to go too crazy (laughs). Have you done any photoshoots before? No this is my first me and I was so nervous and then when I got into it I really enjoyed it the photographer was so lovely, she was giving me loads of ps and telling me what to do, it was so much fun, can we do it again? Unfortunately no, however I’m sure you will have lots and lots of them coming up no doubt, you will get pampered 24/7 now. Has your schedule got really busy since you went to number 1? Yes defiantly, it’s crazy how many people want to talk to me, my phone was going crazy as soon as it went to number 1. I’m going on BBC Radio One next week, if someone told me that even two months ago I would of laughed in his or hers face. I did not expect this at all, total surprise, however I am not complaining! It’s going to get crazier and crazier, I have interviewed so many young stars and they have gone on to do amazing things. I would love to interview you again and see how things have changed for you!
