Analysis of a professional double page spread.

Columns on average three or four columns. 1 main image usually uses up one whole page but sometimes

it can be a double page spread with text on top. Sometimes the image ‘bleeds’ across the page divide.

Sometimes colour of bold is used to break up the text.

Always has page numbers at the bottom of the page or sometimes at the top.

Sometimes gets quotes on pictures.

‘Stand first’ introduction to article, explains what the article is about. Doesn’t tell you what articles about, striking and grabs audiences attention.

Band’s name in a different colour.

Direct address to the audience.

The article is not like a news story, more of the writers personality is shown through the writing and 1st person is often used.
