Welcome The festival has gone from strength to strength and we can announce the line up at Nantwich Civic Hall. Headlined by old favourites The Blues Band on Easter Monday, with the welcome return of King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys on the Sunday, and following Thea Gilmore’s sellout success in 2014 she is back with her band on Thursday 2nd April. New to The Festival is Andy Fairweather-Low appearing with his band The Low Riders on Good Friday while local guitar hero Jim Kirkpatrick takes to the stage on Saturday evening with the Band FM, tickets for this gig are on sale now. At The Crown Hotel powerful Blues chanteuse Connie Lush is back on Friday 3rd April.

Following the massive success of previous years, St Mary’s Church are hosting an afternoon concert on Easter Monday, 6th April featuring Claire Martin & The Montpellier Cello Quartet. Claire is a Linn recording artist and BBC Radio 3 presenter and has sung Jazz for the last 27 years.

There will be a fantastic Round The Town line up over the Easter Weekend. Look forward to seeing some old favourites and exciting new faces throughout the whole weekend. Admission is by wristband, the price of which is held at £7 for 2015 and admits holders to all venues throughout the festival.

Nantwich Square will be staging entertainment on Saturday, Sunday & Monday this year with fabulous 8 piece local band Blozone headlining on Saturday and bringing a sterling set of soul standards to the crowds!

At an early age Oxfordshire born Thea Gilmore developed a talent for being very tall and writing words. Sometime in her teens she added music into the mix, and a year or so later certain corners of the British music press were describing her as ‘one of the few world class female singer-songwriters Britain has ever produced’.

In 2013, she released her 14th album at the age of 33 and celebrated a year of amazing success, in which she has not only entered the top 40 with her new album “Regardless” but had the single “Love Came Looking For Me” chosen as Record Of The Week on Radio 2 and used heavily as the soundtrack to BBC TV’s recent Wimbledon coverage.

Andy was born in 1948 in Cardiff, South Wales and rose to prominence in the 1960’s as the front man and guitarist for chart topping teen idol band Amen Corner. His vocals and his distinctive voice were the perfect lead for the group. Amen Corner scored 6 memorable hits between 1967 and 1969.

It was inevitable that one day Fairweather Low would be tempted to return to the studio in his own right. ‘Sweet Soulful Music’ reunited Fairweather Low with producer Glyn Johns.

Twenty-six years is a long wait but ‘Sweet Soulful Music’ signaled a welcome return for one of the UK’s most distinctive artists, as heartily endorsed by many of the world’s greatest talents.

Connie Lush has been recognised as one of the finest Blues singers in the UK, winning five times “Best Female Vocalist UK” earning a place in the gallery of greats, alongside Alexis Corner and Eric Clapton to name just two. Twice voted “European Blues Vocalist of the year” by the French Blues Trophies Awards and nominated again “Best UK Blues Vocalist” 2011-2012.

In recent years, Connie has performed in over 30 countries. She has played at some of Europe’s largest and most prestigious festivals, including Glastonbury Festival 2011 and wowing audiences in Moscow, New York and LA. Connie also toured with BB King through the UK, finishing at The Royal Albert Hall London.

Formed in 1996 Blozone have been entertaining

audiences with their mixed flavour of Soul, Motown

and popular songs across the UK.

Featuring a three piece brass section they are sure to

give you that feel-good factor to lift your spirits and

get you rocking.

FM hit the road in Europe supporting the likes of Tina Turner, Meat Loaf, Foreigner, Gary Moore, Status Quo and the white-hot Bon Jovi on the ‘Slippery When Wet’ tour.

For the next 12 years FM consolidated their position at the forefront of British melodic rock, touring everywhere they could to promote releases such as 1989’s TOUGH IT OUT and 1992’s APHRODISIAC. In 1996, with ‘grunge’ fever sweeping the world, the band decided to call it a day… until October 2007, when FM at last played together again for the first time in 12 years.

The latter half of 2014 featured the start of FM’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, which will saw the band headlining Cambridge Rock Festival.

Linn recording artist and BBC Radio 3 presenter Claire Martin has spent the last 27 years honing the craft of jazz singing. To worldwide critical acclaim she has established herself as a tour de force on the UK jazz scene gaining many awards, including winning the British Jazz Awards seven times, along the way. At the Queen’s Birthday Honours in June, Claire was delighted to be awarded an OBE for her Services to Jazz.

Claire has recently embarked on a new and unique musical adventure with The Montpellier Cello Quartet. With new arrangements especially written for her by Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, Mark Anthony Turnage and Django Bates, she will be touring this September to promote a new album on Linn Records called ‘Time and Place’.

The individual members of The Blues Band were already held in admiration by generations of rhythm & blues fans when they formed back in 1979. Almost two and a half decades and over 16 albums later they continue to add to their growing army of followers, and it’s not unheard of to find three generations from the same family at a gig.

The band are today acknowledged throughout Europe and beyond as being amongst the very finest purveyors of rhythm & blues. They have inspired numerous other blues bands, many of which have come and gone. The Blues Band have remained a constant, increasingly popular fixture. Gary’s oft quoted comment states “the music industry doesn’t bother us and we don’t bother them.”

Nick Steed - A professional musician, piano player and vocalist who is recognised internationally for his song writing and performing talent and will be presenting a mix of music spanning the decades.

Wayne & The Hairy Peaches - Over the past six years this band has gigged Nationwide and have become a household name around Cheshire. A four piece with a difference, classics from the 50s through to the present day, performed with a twist that has to be seen and heard to be believed. If you fancy a sing-along, a dance and a laugh this is one not to be missed.


Photo Booth Smile - A female fronted three piece band from Crewe. Expect a full night of crowd pleasing cover songs from artists such as ADELE, Blondie, Stereophonics, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, plus many more.

SWaY followed by Artizan - A fantastic double bill line up. SWaY are a four piece band and have been performing together since 1989 who perform well known songs covering the past four decades. Artizan are a 5 piece rock/soul/anything goes outfit who generally “beef it up a bit”. In general terms, “if it was a pop song, it isn’t now”. Gotta love it.

The Old Fashioned Love Band - Presenting Trad Jazz from the 20s through to the 40s they are firmly established throughout the Jazz Club circuit. Their high standard of musicianship, presentation, and varied repertoire has led to them making numerous Jazz Festival and Concert appearances further afield throughout the UK.

Tom Doughty & Graham Bellinger - A regular at Nantwich Jazz and Blues Festival, Tom Doughty teams up with multi instrumentalist, Graham Bellinger for a session of Blues and Americana performed by two well established professionals in their own right.

Slide Boy Roy - Slide Boy Roy play the blues in their own style but with influences of some of the best blues artistes around or have been around. SBR play with good humour, no two gigs are the same with their extensive take on the blues, RnB and roots RnR. Two guitars, bass, drums, and harp make Slide Boy Roy kick bottom!

Swingology - Formed in 1995 to play gypsy jazz which originated with Django Reinhardt and Stephen Grappelli in Paris in the 1930s, The band is based on the original line up and consists of 2 acoustic guitars, double bass, violin and percussion, and plays original “hot club swing” numbers from the period 1930 - 1950 as well as more modern jazz numbers played in this toe tapping style.

The Milk Men - Four suited & booted rockers who know how to deliver. The Dulwich-based band have been gigging ever since 2010, performing classic rock and RnB songs in a style that combines the explosive energy of The Who and the edgy tightness of Dr Feelgood, whilst never taking itself too seriously.


Not So Merry - A unique 4 piece acoustic rock band from the Midlands founded in November 2012, Not So Merry is a blend of classic rock and Bluegrass, injected with a heavy dose of punchy funk, to create a daring, crunchy musical experience! Welcome to Funkoustic rock!

The Slippery Hill Boys - From soulful, close harmony songs to blisteringly fast bluegrass classics, a must for all lovers of Americana. There’s quite a bit of swapping around of instruments - it’s rare to have one highly talented banjo player in a band, let alone two, one of whom doubles as a fine flatpicker. Mandolin and bass complete the line up, with the occasional bit of penny whistle. Magical.

Mumbo Jumbo - Three of the Midlands most experienced gigging musicians – Oliver Carpenter, Chris Lomas and Phil Bond – thrown together in a broadly acoustic format and delivering what they are best at – live music performance. Marc Gallagher / The Maple Clouds - The Maple Clouds are a fusion of the stunning voice of Sharmane Smith and Marc Gallagher’s musicianship skills, bringing pop, soul and blues covers to all. Marc will also be performing solo in his own inimitable style.

Tom Seals + Special Guest - Fresh from his sell-out 2014 ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ Tour - Tom Seals, “quite possibly the future of Jazz/Pop”, literally has the world at his fingertips. Performing songs from his Blues Chart Topping Album, Tom and a very special guest are not to be missed.


Big Joe Bone - Back by popular request. A mix of fast, furious Delta Blues, Bluegrass, Oldtime, Gospel and Hillbilly music with raspy vocals, hard driving harmonica rhythms, bottleneck slide guitar playing on steel bodied guitars and finger-picked 5 string banjos.....all held together by a very heavy stomping boot!

Andy Stones - Always a festival favourite larger than life character Andy performs his solo set of up tempo songs punctuated by his infamous witty repartee. Expect a bit of a sing along.

Together since 2009, performing traditional and popular guitar and harmonica covers from such artists as Cream, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, The Blues Brothers, Sonny Boy Williamson II and Muddy Waters

Swingology - Formed in 2005 by 5 chaps from Crosby, Liverpool, to play the toe-tapping music known as Gypsy Jazz. This style became famous in the 1930s and 1940s, popularised by the great Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, The band not only plays all the Gypsy Jazz standards, but a range of popular Jazz classics and some modern songs in the classic Swing “Manouche” style.

TRIP - A three piece Rock and Roll Party Band, with a Rockabilly edge who herald from the City of Lichfield. They play a great mix of cover songs from the 1950’s to the present day, including artists as diverse as Elvis Presley, The Stray Cats, The Who and Johnny Cash!


Stomp & Holler - Bringing the street sounds and swamps of New Orleans to Festivals and theatres of the UK comes Stomp & Holler. A big, bold festival favourite blues band with a brass section and six singers, the band is led by Oliver Carpenter and featuring three British Blues Award nominees, Stomp & Holler pulls together the best Midlands musicians to explode on stage with brass, blues, and a vast array of voices.


Chuck Harriett - A second appearance for the band formed from a desire to play music that has become cool again. Chuck Harriet play music from a bygone era that is also current and fresh today. Swing, jazz, blues, ragtime plus some modern interpretations of the genre.


Big Blue House - Stalwarts of the festival this three piece Rhythm & Blues outfit that has been plying its trade around the Blues circuit in various guises for the last 12 years or so. Featuring; James Harrison guitar/vocals, Al Dean bass/vocals and Keith York on the kit.


Baxter - The musical lovechild of Hayley Strangelove and Paul Senior. Hayley is something of a local legend, with her direct, powerhouse vocals, dry wit and infectious guitar style while Paul brings strong vocal styles from soul, blues and jazz through to big rock anthems. Striving to be more than your average covers band choosing less obvious songs to keep you guessing, and dancing, but more importantly, smiling. The Nick Steed Band - Having played with some of the greatest names in the business ncluding Chris Farlowe, Jools Holland and Ten Years After, Nick brings his band to present some of the finest in blues music with his 4 piece band.

Gambler - A great local three piece Rock Band. Accomplished musicianship and superb vocals ensure a wonderful time for all. The Hexmen - 60’s R&B blues pubrock with an aggressive indie edge and a psychedelic undercurrent. Blues band The Hexmen were a product of the post-punk creative maelstrom of Liverpool in the early 1980s. George Hexman: singer, session blues-harp player and frontman, founded the band, joining forces with major movers and shakers of the Liverpool & Manchester music scenes.

Front Page News - A six piece band playing their special blend of Blues, Rock and Soul from John Mayall, Climax Blues Band, Walter Trout though to Joe Cocker, Bob Seger, Gerry Rafferty with a sprinkling of Stones mixed in, all played with passion and a whole lot of soul!

The White Horse 12noon – 2pm

The Blue Eyed Beggars - A blues-rock trio, originally from the Midlands but now based in the north-west, with Dave Gough on lead guitar and vocals, Wayne Hodgkiss on bass guitar and vocals and Julian Parkes on drums. All three musicians have played in a myriad of bands over the years and gigged extensively in the UK, Europe and South America. The Band play a mixture of Classic Rock and Blues with a few originals thrown in for good measure.

The Union 12noon – 2pm

Rain - This local acoustic duo began after a chat over a nice cup of tea. Both members at the time were in other bands (Sheena - Pink Djinn and Graeme - The New Subterraneans and The Friendly Campaign) and decided that they wanted to take their music into different directions developing a laid back yet engaging set of covers and original material. And so it Rained.


Tribeca - Tribeca are a jazz group, comprising of Double Bass, Guitar, Tenor sax and Female vocals. Based collectively between Ellesmere and Chester, they have performed in venues all over the North West, bringing that extra touch of class to events from wedding parties, to corporate functions, and have also played at jazz and blues festivals up and down the country.

The Studio 1pm - 3pm

The John Colins Band - A band that plays the music you love - but other bands don’t play. The John Colins Band (or JCB as they are becoming known throughout the Cheshire and North West music circuit) are a good time, band playing classic dance tunes. From the Rolling Stones to Pink, Radiohead to R.E.M. JCB cover a vast genre of songs with a common feature - you will rarely hear a local gigging band playing them.


.44 Pistol - Described as ‘brilliant’ by Maverick Magazine & ‘kick-ass’ by bluesinthenorthwest.com, .44 Pistol consists of Pete Wearn (vocal, harmonica & slide guitar) Ash Jones (Lead & rhythm guitar) & Mick Askey (Drums). They do not have a bass player, nor do they feel they need one.

Annie Long Quartet - An ex-London professional jazz singer, now based on the Wirral, Annie is a firm favourite at The Crown. Experienced and versatile, with warm velvety vocals, she covers a wide range of jazz standards, swing, latin, blues and even one or two originals. This year she will be accompanied by the talented Alan Jeffs on guitar, Grant Russell on double bass and John Padfield on reeds. Perfect for your Sunday lunch time!


Maple Clouds - These young local musicians are overflowing with talent. The Maple Clouds are a fusion of the stunning voice of Sharmane Smith and Marc Gallagher’s musicianship skills, bringing pop, soul and blues covers to all.


James Harrison - James has a BA music degree from The Liverpool Institute Of Performing Arts and many years experience of fronting bands and here presents his

highly individualistic solo set using layer upon layer of backing loops.


Baxter - The musical lovechild of Hayley Strangelove and Paul Senior. Hayley is something of a local legend, with her direct, powerhouse vocals, dry wit and infectious guitar style while Paul brings strong vocal styles from soul, blues and jazz through to big rock anthems. Striving to be more than your average covers band choosing less obvious songs to keep you guessing, and dancing, but more importantly, smiling. Welcome to Baxterville....population: 2.....and you :)


Silken - A firm festival favourite - Ballads extraordinaire! The silky soulful tones of Silvana, coupled with the skill and wealth of experience of Ken Warrillow on guitar. Silvana had regular appearances on Italian TV several years ago and has also appeared on BBC TV and Channel 4. Ken’s musical career began with professional bands in the 60s and he has since played with many of the greats - probably one of

the most professional duos in the business.


Chris Bevington & Friends - If there was ever such a thing as a “supergroup” this band comes close, the players have included George Glover, Scott Ralph, Jim Kirkpatrick and Paul Burgess from bands such as 10CC, FM, Robbie Williams’s projects and Whitesnake members. Presenting an impressive stage lineup featuring backing singers and a horn section this gig is a must see.


All About Time - Featuring Al Dean with local Musicians playing Roots Blues and Soul classics and plenty of contemporary tracks.


Blue Slickers - A large part of the former Badgers who play vintage rock, originals and covers by bands such as The Stones, Beatles, Free, Z.Z Top, Small Faces, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eric Clapton, The Who and Stevie-Ray Vaughan. The band play throughout the North-West of England demonstrating their musical virtuosity and rarely failing to entice their audience onto the dance-floor for some hard core boogieing!


The Age of Plastic - A second outing for this band who, over the past six years, have gigged Nationwide and have become a household name around Cheshire. A four piece with a difference, classics from the 50s through to the present day, performed with a twist that has to be seen and heard to be believed. If you fancy a sing-along, a dance and a laugh this is one not to be missed.





Sam Whiskey’s Poison Medicine Band - Brings together an eclectic range of music predominantly from the 70’s. This 4 piece band boasts a pedigree of talent and revamps a number of old classic 70’s tracks which are seldom heard today; songs by Ian Hunter, Genesis, Skynyrd, Jo-Jo Gunne, Bowie and a few surprises.


Bobcat Billy’s Moonshine Mission - Rockabilly in it’s purest form, driven by rockin’ rhythm and filled by simplicity. Ian, Nick, Nick and Ferg have been making music together for the last 18 years as part of the rhythm and blues outfit Zoot Serious and the Belly full of bop. Numbers from Johnny Cash, Elvis, Bill Monroe and many many more.


The Steve Oakes Quartet - An eclectic mixture of modern jazz styles comprising be-bop, latin jazz, funk and contemporary takes on standards. Original compositions are interspersed with pieces by jazz icons including Pat Metheny and Courtney Pine. The solos are frequently passionate and intense, while at other times subtle and reflective. The band has performed at countless jazz venues in recent years and is fronted by Steve Oakes on guitar with Ed Kainyek on sax.

Nantwich Methodist Church 4pm - 6pm

Salt City Jazzmen - Our home grown heroes and stalwarts of the Nantwich Festival, once again bring their Trad Jazz sounds to The Methodist Church. Formed in 1969 they are probably the longest running band in the festival. A guaranteed good time gig!


Federal Blues - Formed in 2012 after a chance meeting in Custom Amps between Stuart and James who realised they had a love of ‘The Blues’ in common. The band was soon put together with the addition of Geoff and Dave and are influenced by the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout and Stevie Ray Vaughan. With a love of early blues and empathy for those who played it, the band strives to bring the music up to date without losing its soul.


The Extras - The Extras’ brand of R&B has a distinctly ‘British’ hard edge. The pile-driving rhythm section of Joan Bimson and Mark Prescott, combined with the aggressive virtuosity of guitarist Dave Woods creates a uniquely exciting sound.

The band’s level of old-school expertise is matched only by the energy of their live performance. With the addition of the charismatic Mark Taylor, son of Liverpool Legend Kingsize Taylor, on lead vocals, the Extras are truly a force to be reckoned with.


Blind Summit Blues - Traditional Rhythm & Blues Band whose roots are in the 1960s these guys have been around for more than 50 years playing clubs and pubs around the north west. They have played nearly every year at the Nantwich Jazz Festival plus Burnley Blues Festival and the Great British R&B Festival at Colne. Not to be missed !


Pistol Pete Wearn - Old school acoustic blues, that you can jump around and dance along to. Fast paced tunes, shouty vocals, steel guitar & stompbox.

Bluzebox - Lively, up-tempo, blues and R&B, with the band’s own individual slant on classic and modern tunes. The musicians that make up BluzeBox bring a wealth of musical experience and a wide range of musical influences - producing a unique sound. With elements of boogie-woogie, funk and rock’n’roll our audience loves to dance


Cry Baby & the Hoochie Coochie Boys - So why ‘Cry Baby and The Hoochie Coochie Boys?’ Starting with The Hoochie Coochie Boys, the band has been heavily influenced by the Chicago Blues sound, as well as a British influence from Nine Below Zero & Dr. Feelgood, and Hoochie Coochie Boys is a nod to the great Muddy Waters. Rob Wilkinson under pins the band with gritty harmonica playing and a wailing tone, hence the Cry Baby.





SWaY - SWaY perform well known songs covering the past four decades from The Beatles to Elivis, right up to Kaiser Chiefs and Snow Patrol. They have a Rock and Pop guitar based sound, from four very competent musicians, which really comes across live...


Photo Booth Smile - A female fronted three piece band from Crewe. Expect a full evening of crowd pleasing cover songs from artists such as Adele, Blondie, Stereophonics, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, plus many more.


THE HOWIE G REVUE - Describing himself as “a guitarist who can’t resist a challenge” Howie brings his famous “Revue” along to render the finest in rock. The professor of rock and his band will be performing both original and classic Rock & Blues numbers. This will be a show stopping set, from some great musicians and well worth a visit. Oh yes, it might be a bit loud.


Barrelhouse Jukes - Making a welcome return to the Nantwich Jazz & Blues festival for the third consecutive year is Acoustic Blues & Roots band, ‘Barrelhouse Jukes’ consisting of Pete Latham (guitar & vocals), Chris Bingham (bass & vocals) & Julian Ogle (drums & vocals). Playing a range of standards with a West Coast flavour in their unique style, they’re regular performers across Cheshire and the Potteries.


Charmaine Baines - With a successful career as a performer spanning over 20 years, she has collaborated with some of the finest musicians, producers and industry artists. Commanding countless performances throughout the UK and on the continent, Charmaine has also recorded jingles for BBC prime time TV and has been featured on the drama “ The Lake”. Working with producer brothers Danny Spencer and Kelvin Andrews of ‘Soul Mekanik’, Charmaine is a featured artist on

Robbie Williams album title track Rudebox and Viva life on Mars.


The Skalinskis - Back by popular demand a hardworking Ska/Reggae/punk band based in Staffordshire, UK. They fuse the dreary sounds of terraced living in England 1950 with Soviet folk music and spice it up with a lively brass section. They guarantee to get your foot a tapping and your butt a jiving. You gotta to see this !


The Funkbreakers - Featuring dangerous Dan Machin on guitar and Chris Dyer on Sax and Vocal duties. They play a blend of cool funk and soul with a dash of modern rhythm. The band includes some of the best musicians and sought after session players in the Northwest. Between them, they have performed alongside musicians from well known bands such as FM, Barclay James Harvest, 10cc, Whitesnake, Climax Blues Band, Ruby Turner, and many more.


Jim Jams - These aren’t just modern and classic covers, these are JimJams modern and classic covers. A highly polished performance is on the cards when James Harrison brings London Based JimJams to the Crown Ballroom to finish of the day with aplomb and excellence. Get there early – it will be a blast.


Tom Seals & his Band - Fresh from his sell-out 2014 “Let The Good Times Roll” Tour - Tom Seals, “quite possibly the future of Jazz/Pop”, literally has the world at his fingertips. Joined by Nick Bayes (Bass), Rick Wilson (Drums) and a very special Brass Section, he will be performing songs form his Blues Chart Topping Album - do not miss this!


Shakermaker - Meeting the high demand another outing for this local covers band, playing rock, indie and rock n roll music from the 50’s to the present day and who absolutely LOVE being on stage. Performing in a way that is guaranteed to get the joint REALLY pumping it soon becomes clear that the guys are passionate about what they do !


Monkey Finger - Want to see a band that plays cracking music, with so much feel it could make you weep? Love to see quality musicians clearly enjoying what they do? Then come on down - The Finger are the band for you!

Mutha Humbucker - have taken the North West by storm with their professional performances, tight music, Marshall Stacks and a light show to astound. Over the years line-ups have changed but now the guys are set to rock alongside newly appointed front man Mr Ashe Masters (formally of Hollywood Tease). Covering a range of songs from Queen, Thunder & Status Quo through to Motley Crue, Fleetwood Mac & Bon Jovi, everybody is catered for, good music and with an energetic stage presence. Mutha Humbucker are a must see!!!!!

Gasfoodlodging - Gasfoodlodging are a three piece Indie/Alternative Country band who were officially formed within Sutton Coldfield in the spring of 2013. Influenced by artists and bands such as Chuck Prophet, Green on Red, Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson, Hole, The Rolling Stones; They continue to build up a repertoire of high quality material.


The Tone Junkies - A 3 piece pro rock band formed in Liverpool in 2004 with countless gigs around and Wales. With an awesome repertoire, tipping its hat to old and new, funk, blues, rock`n`roll, country and soul, and the musicianship to move seamlessly between each and all. A superb, dynamic and exciting live band, The Tone Junkies are up there with the best! Judge for yourself.


Soul Revolver - Soul Revolver are an eclectic covers band whose repertoire span the last 5 decades. They are a professional, talented and extremely entertaining band fronted by our exceptionally talented singer and frontman Neil Davies.


WhiskeyHead - A five piece rhythm and blues band working extensively throughout Staffordshire and Cheshire, with years of experience and a passion for live performance. Together since 2009, performing traditional and popular guitar and harmonica covers from such artists as Cream, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, The Blues Brothers, Sonny Boy Williamson II and Muddy Waters.


Andy Stones - Always a festival favourite larger than life character Andy performs his solo set of up tempo songs punctuated by his infamous witty repartee. Expect a bit of a sing along.


Trio Montparnasse - Montparnasse are (usually) a musical duo performing French Chanson and Jazz. Parisian singer Celine Dommart is accompanied by Guitar Magazine award winning acoustic guitarist Cris Tolley (also of gypsy jazz group Trio Rosbifs) and are joined at Nantwich by Paul Smith on Bass to become a trio.

The Jake Leg Jug Band - The Jake Leg Jug Band bring you the authentic sounds of 1920’s and 30’s America - Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Ragtime - and put their own twist on it. Songs of murder, betrayal, gambling, liquor and redemption. Quickly gaining a reputation as a lively, feel-good band. Signed to one of the UK’s most prestigious Jazz labels - Lake Records, April sees the release of their 3rd album in 3 years.


The Muckers - The Muckers are a four piece collaboration consisting of Marc Gallagher, Alice Leetham, Matt Mason, and Jack Hayward-Cooke. They play a large array of covers in a quirky and imaginative way, from the kinks to Eric Clapton, so there is something for everyone! Just no George Formby


The Indigo Kings - The Indigo Kings play a tantalising mix of original jazz, blues and swing; and blend it with nostalgia to form ‘vintage pop’ songs that will have your foot tapping and your head swaying. The swinging piano, roaring sax and delicious dual harmony vocals confirm that the music of yesteryear is back, reinvented and here to stay!



MONDAY - AROUND THE TOWN


The Nick Steed Band - Having played with some of the greatest names in the business including Chris Farlowe, Jools Holland and Ten Years After, Nick brings his band back for the Monday to present some of the finest in blues music with his 4 piece band.


Hot House Quartet - HHQ brings together four dynamic talents in a musical powerhouse which wraps up modern jazz and fusion into a crowd-pleasing package including numbers by Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and David Sanborn, to name just a few. The group’s signature sound is defined by the dynamic sax of Jamie Bannister, on piano and Hammond organ is Aidan Goldstraw, Chris Cliff’s plays upright bass and at the drum kit is Scott Ralph.

Lol Goodman Band - Lol Goodman Band has existed in varied formats and with various musicians for nearly twenty years and Lol continues to deliver the kind of sound and feel first formed in the towns and cities of the US and adopted by the great British bands of the late 60’s and early 70’s. The band regularly works the clubs, pubs and festivals of, mainly, the North of England performing their brand of gritty blues.


Blozone - After an absence in 2014 The Shakespeare’s now legendary Monday evening Blozone gig is back ! See this amazing, full-on soul band do their thing with STAX and Motown classics and much more with a performance that will have you dancing the whole time.


TRIP - Back again for their second festival outing are this three piece Rock and Roll Party Band, with a Rockabilly edge who herald from the City of Lichfield. They play a great mix of cover songs from the 1950’s to the present day, including artists as diverse as Elvis Presley, The Stray Cats, The Who and Johnny Cash!


Tone Junkies - A 3 piece pro rock band formed in Liverpool in 2004 with countless gigs around England and Wales. With an awesome repertoire, tipping its hat to old and new, funk, blues, rock`n`roll, country and soul, and the musicianship to move seamlessly between each and all. A superb, dynamic and exciting live band, The Tone Junkies are up there with the best! Judge for yourself.


Encore de Funk - A 7 piece collective from the North West. The band create original interpretations of contemporary classics, adding in some untouched masterpieces along the way. The band are fantastic live with a solid rhythm section creating the perfect foundation for the commanding tones of the brass and the intricate Hammond/Rhodes keys. The overall groove is finished off with the smoothest of vocals which perfectly compliment this mix of modern and heritage styles.


Trio Montparnasse - Across town for another appearance for the Trio Montparnasse. Usually a musical duo performing French Chanson and Jazz.
