It Speaking to students, the use of lap tops was keenly anticipated and once they came out, the students were extremely excited. Wanting to use them all day, every day, we discussed how we use them as another tool for both learning and creating. We look forward to using them to support and extend our learning. Well what a busy beginning to the year it has been! From getting to know each other, to Grade 3/ 4 Sport, to cooking in the kitchen, we have been very busy. It has been a pleasure getting to know all of the students and begin our year long journey.

Speaking to students, the use of lap tops was keenly anticipated and once they came out, the students were extremely excited. Wanting to use them all day, every day, we discussed how we use them as another tool for both learning and creating. We look forward to using them to support and extend our learning. Digital portfolios will be introduced next term and will come home at the end of the year.Cooking in the kitchen and gardening has also been popular this term. Students have worked well in mixed groups and have cooked well. Trying new foods has been a challenge but all have kept within the try three bites agreement.Grade 3/ 4 Sport has been a highly anticipated activity each week where all students have been split into teams to compete in a competition through playing skill based games. Games with bats, balls, blocks and nets have helped students build skills. Whilst there is a winner to each game, students have gained extra points for team work and for encouraging their peers.
