• Developintervalbetween3rdand4th,or4thand5thcompartments.

• TransposeEPLifneeded.

• Exposethedorsalcortexofthedistalradius.

Implant Preparation

• UsingaPinClamp,snaptheDorsalButtressPinintooneoftwopositionsontheWireformPlate.

• CutlegsoftheDorsalButtressPintodesiredlength,leavingonelegslightlylonger.

•Ifneeded,alterthewidthorangleoflegsusingtheWireBender.

Implant Positioning

• Inserttwoparallel1.1mm(0.045”)K-wiresatthelocationofdesireddistalfixation.

• ThedirectionandangleoftheK-wireswilldeterminethedirectionandangleoftheDorsalButtressPinlegs.

• DorsalButtressPincanalsobeusedtodirectlybuttressafreeintra-articular(“diepunch”)fragment.

Final Fixation

• AlignDorsalButtressPintotheproximalshaft.

• Usethe1.8mm(blue)drilland2.3mmcorticalscrewstofixtheimplantproximally.

• Confirmimplantisseatedandsecure.

• Forlowestprofile,astandardwashercanbeusedinsteadofaWireformPlate.

• OverlaywasherandseatscrewuntilwasherflexestoensurefixationofWireform.

Implant Insertion

• Attheapexofthebend,snapaPinClampontothelongestlegmakingsureitisaxiallyalignedwiththeleg.

• WithdrawtheK-wirecorrespondingtothelongestlegandimmediatelyinsert.

• SwitchPinClamptoshorterlegandrepeat.

• CompleteseatingofeachlegusingtheImpactor.
