Army Medical Services Museum 1st World War Gallery 2014 – 2018Over the course of the commemorations we will be following what the Army Medical Services were doing 100 years ago. During 2015 we will have different exhibits marking the events of 1915, looking at areas such as Mesopotamia, Gas Warfare and the rehabilitation of patients.
Waterloo200 June 2015 – OngoingJune 2015 marks the 200th anniversary of Waterloo. To mark this occasion, the Museum will be installing a new exhibit marking this era, looking at the part the Army Medical Services played in this conflict. This will include items such as the Bell’s Watercolours – a series of paintings to illustrate injuries sustained at Waterloo for teaching purposes.
Royal Military Police Museum Redcaps in Normandy June 2014 – April 2015Redcaps in Normandy highlights the role of the Corps of Military Police during the D Day landings and weeks of fighting in Normandy. From the first landings of the Airborne troops, to the assault on the beaches, the Military Police were there, working hard to bring order to chaos. This exhibition brings together unique photographs, documents and objects which tell the story of the Military Police during the Normandy Campaign.
Lessons from Loss: The Military Police on the Western Front 1915 6 April – 30 November 2015 A new temporary exhibition for the Royal Military Police Museum focusing on the experiences of the Military Police during the second year of the First World War. Using objects and documents from The Royal Military Police Collection this exhibition focuses upon the duties and responsibilities taken on by the Military Police during three key battles, Neuve Chapelle, “2nd Ypres and Loos, exploring how these actions helped to shape the identity of the Military Police even to this day.
The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum ‘With the Rifles to Waterloo’ 25 March – 30 September 2015 An exhibition which marks the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo 18 June 1815. ‘With the Rifles to Waterloo’ will cover the development of the Rifle Regiments, their journey through the Peninsular wars and their participation in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. The exhibition will include the newly restored Waterloo Diorama and the Kincaid Gallery learning space.

Buckler’s HardSS Persia Story All year On the 100th anniversary of its destruction by a German U-boat, uncover the remarkable story of the P & O liner, SS Persia, its links to the Montagu family and the salvage operation which sought to recover its treasures.

Royal Navy Submarine MuseumFirst Out Last In – RN Submarines in WW1 2 April – 1 November 2015 A new exhibition telling the heroic stories of the Royal Navy submarine service through the First World War.
Basing House See the magnificent views from our new platform which overlooks the ruins of the Old House. Disabled visitors can watch video footage of the views in the garden museum.Dogs on leads are now allowed dogs on the Basing House site. Water for dogs and bins are provided.
D-Day Museum The D-Day Museum is planning to transform and update its displays over the next few years. To find out more about this project and how you can support it, see our website www.ddaymuseum.co.uk.
The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) MuseumFollowing the refurbishment of two thirds of the first floor of the museum supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund the new displays will open to visitors on 25 March 2015.
The Tank MuseumTank Factory is set to launch in spring 2015. It will be a mock factory scene showcasing a line-up of Post WW2 vehicles, covering topics like Materials, Armour & Weapons and Testing.
Buckler’s HardSee the newly constructed Shipwrights’ Workshop on the banks of the Beaulieu River. This replica 18th century building has been constructed using traditional methods with hand-hewn timber from the Beaulieu Estate.
Portsmouth Historic DockyardHMS M.33 Opens to the public for the first timeHMS M.33 is a unique survivor from the bloody 1915 Gallipoli Campaign and the only British warship from the First World War to be open to visitors during this centenary year.
