A Note About

(The first short-term missions group that Sprigs ‘n Sprouts

seeks to fund)

Door of Faith Orphanage

For about $8,000 in

materials, we built them a simple, 600 square foot

home with two small bedrooms, a living area, and a roughed-in bathroom.

Meet Marisol and her four year old son,

Emelio...

This trailer was their home until the growing mold problem created respiratory

problems and forced Emilio to move in with relatives across

town.

Welcome home, Emilio!

Baja 101 was created by a passionate group of people from Third Reformed Church. Since 1998, we’ve partnered with Door of Faith Orphanage in sharing the love of Christ through the ministry of

building homes in La Mision, Baja California, Mexico. Representatives of more than a dozen churches

around central Iowa have partnered with Baja 101. To date, more than 1,000 short-term missionaries from the Pella area have blessed 30 families with a

new home, and we can’t wait to add to that number! Along the way we’ve gotten to know our

friends and neighbors a little differently as we served and lived along side of

them. We’ve seen God at

work and wrestled with our response to poverty.

Sprigs ‘n Sprouts, a recently formed nonprofit, is offering shares in our 2014 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) garden.

Shareholders receive a weekly basket of freshly harvested produce. Enjoy more than 60 varieties of herbs, melons, and vegetables

(including many heirloom varieties), and let us do the work for you. Each week from June through September, shareholders pick up a

shopping basket full of ready to eat produce. Feed your family and impact the world as Sprigs ‘n Sprouts gives profits to purchase

materials and supplies for short-term mission projects, starting with Baja 101’s house building initiative (see back page).

support missions while providing your family with nutritious vegetables, melons, and herbs

Each share is $460. Only 50 shares are available in 2014. Act now to be sure that you get one! First come, first served. Mail this form and check or pay online through our website: www.sprigsnsprouts.org. Sorry, we are not able to coordinate half shares this year, but some shareholders find friends, neighbors, or family to split a share.

Much like planting your own garden, shareholders take a risk right along with us.

Crop failure can happen due to flooding, drought, pests, or disease. While we’ll do

everything we can to prevent those events, we can’t guarantee that every crop will grow.
