If you have customers coming to your premises make sure you have

business, so you need the resources and environment to have

satisfied customers that are willing to come back to you and

recommend your business to their friends.

You may have to work different hours to what you have been use to. You may not

be able to honour the regular appointments with friends and family that you have

been able to do in the past.

You may have to receive customers in your house or private area that may cause a

discomfort for the rest of your family.

How will you handle the answering of the telephone? What do you expect from the

rest of the family in this regard?

These are issues that if not handled properly in advance and planned can cause

problems in the development of the business.

You will need a network of

people that can be very helpful

and important developing your

business.

These may be people that you

use as sounding boards to test

your ideas. It may be experts on

law, tax, accounting, marketing,

planning, computer technology,

web site design, and many

other possibilities.

Your network

Try and think of the sup-

port network you do

have now. It will be im-

portant to expand this

network in the future to

insure growth in your

business.

Try and find people that

are involved in a similar

or related kind of busi-

ness. These people can

be very good advisors or

you can bounce your

ideas off them.

thinking. It is important to understand the

need to plan properly for it.

Some people may argue that it is not important; that these issues will solve themselves;

but I want to warn you that it can be the difference of a lucrative sustainable home

based business and not being successful.
