Mark your calendars for Thursday Night, May 17 th as we will be hosting a bluegrass gospel group in conjunction with the Arts Council. The concert will take place in our Sanctuary at 7pm. This is a free event as it is a part of the Third Thursday Series provided by the Arts Council. Invite Your Friends! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sanctuary Flowers The flowers in the sanctuary on May 6 are dedicated to the glory of God and placed in loving memory of Mandy Luckie by Cheryl, John, Trey, Dana, Reid and Mia Luckie. There will be a SPECIAL OFFERING taken THIS SUNDAY MORNING, May 6 th . This oering will go directly to the Christian Kitchen which is currently undergoing some financial needs concerning the monthly power bill that can be as much as $1000 per month. Please plan to give generously to this very important ministry in our community. Just a reminder, our local Christian Kitchen serves over 26,000 hot meals every year to our community. If you would like to add a picture of a family member who is a veteran to our Memorial Day Worship Service, please drop it by the church oce or email it to blane@fbcfitz.com by May 13 th . The Fitzgerald High School Spring Band Concert will be on Tuesday, May 8 th at 7pm in our sanctuary. If you enjoy great band music, you will want to come hear these young musicians perform. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. In addition: We will NOT be having VBS this summer. Thanks to those who volunteered but we did not have enough interested leadership to move forward. We will be offering some exciting activities for our children this summer along with partnering with some children’s camps in our community already in place. I look forward to this Sunday as we will hear from our children during worship. Be Here to Support Our Kids!
