Our Impact Philosophy

Status Quo: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/04/the-new-economic-model-that-could-end-inequality-doughnut/

11

Finance as usual has led to the pushing of planetary boundaries, like biodiversity loss and climate change,

while also failing to adequately address the social foundation needed to build a prosperous, clean future.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) screening doesn’t go far enough to address these

harms, and shareholder advocacy has proved insufficient when engaging companies committed to

harmful business models. If finance is to be a part of the solution, we need to go beyond ESG and shareholder

advocacy to make real change.

Our Impact Philosophy

Donut Economics: ttps://www.kateraworth.com/doughnut/

12

Leading scientists and economists believe a prosperous, clean future is possibly by balancing the

needs of our planet and the social foundation that allows humans to think beyond themselves.

Seeking to accomplish this, we go beyond ESG and shareholder advocacy by building screens to identify

companies who engage in the most harmful practices to people and planet. At the same time, we look to identify

companies building the foundation to thrive in the coming, clean economy.

This is the moral thing to do, and we believe it is also good investing. Companies planning for a clean future

stand to succeed if it comes to pass. And simultaneously, the risks of harming share price through

bad behavior is proving a serious concern.

In order to better address our impact philosophy, we created a proprietary impact methodology.

Where most investment firms wrap up their impact efforts with an ESG score, that is where our methodology begins.

From there, we add more than 50 additional hurdles addressing some of the biggest harms corporations can have on people and planet. Companies must meet every

criteria to be included.

The list to the right gives a sense of the scope of our methodology. It is not comprehensive. We ask that

this not be shared without the expressed permission of Change Finance.

The fund’s investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses must be carefully before investing. The prospectus and summary

prospectus contain this and other important information about the investment company. It may obtained by calling 1-303-339-0524 or

emailing [email protected]. Read it carefully before investing.

Investing involves risk. Principal loss is possible. Investments in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) involve additional risks such as declines in the value of real estate and increased susceptibility to adverse economic or regulatory developments. The social, governance, and/or environmental policy of the Fund could cause it to make or avoid investment that could result in the portfolio underperforming similar funds that do not have such

policies. The Fund is a recently organized, diversified management investment company with no operating history. As a result, prospective investors have no track record on which to base their investment decisions.

The performance of the Fund may diverge from that of the index. Because the fund may employ a representative sampling strategy and may also invest in securities that are not included in the index, the fund may experience tracking error to a greater extent than funds that seek to replicate an index. The funds are not actively managed and may be affected by a general decline in market segments related to the index.

Alpha gauges the return of a fund against a benchmark market index and is defined as the difference between the fund’s return and that of the benchmark.
