DOGS

• The dog is the first tamed animal.

• The dogs are naturally animals, but thehumans turned them into a domestic animal.

DOGS TEETH

• Adult dogs have 42 teeth in a muzzle.

DOGS SWEAT

• Dogs don´t sweat, but get rid of heat via theirmoist nose and tongue.

DOGS TOES

• All dogs’ back paws have four toes, with a hidden fifth toe.

• The front paws have five toes, with strong, blunt, non-retractable claws.

DOGS DIGESTION

• Dogs have a typical carnivore´s digestivesystem, but they can also eat grain and cookedvegetables.

DOGS MUSCULAR SISTEM

• Muscular, deep chested bodies and longslender legs were originally designed forchasing prey.

SPORTING DOGS

• Sporting dogs are well known for their senseof smell and their speed. The sense of smellthey use to track down game birds.

POINTER• The pointer is well known because of the way

it stands with its tail straight out.

• Pointers have short, smooth coats, but manysporting dogs have long hair.

• When a pointers have located its quarry (theanimal that he/she wants to catch) its tailsticks straight out.

CHIHUAHUA

• The chihuahua is the smallest dog in theworld. It´s only 15 cm tall.

THE POODLE

• The poodle is an intelligent dog, used forfinding truffles (fungi) in France.

GREYHOUND

• The greyhound, bred for speed, can easilyreach 57km per hour.

BULLDOG

• The bulldog was originally bred for the´´sport´´ of bullbating in the Middle Ages.

HUSKY

• The husky is a powerful sledge dog, able topull twice its own weight.

AIREDALE

• The Airedale is the largest breed of terrier, probably bred for hunting otters.
