2. Royal Government of Bhutan under GOI funding Scheme
o Six months Training programmes offered for the official of Royal government of
Bhutan on “Marketing Management” organized by International admission cell ,
Sona College of Technology on May 2007– Fund received Rs. 7,50,000 ( 75000
per candidate for 10 candidates).
o Two weeks management training programme offered for the official of Royal
government of Bhutan on “Strategic Leadership for schools in changing
Environment” organized by International admission cell , Sona College of
Technology on June 2007– Fund received Rs. 6,65,000 ( 47,000 per candidate for
14 candidates).

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) CHAPTER
Successfully taken-up the responsibility to activate the creation of clusters among various
manufacturers (like SSI, Product specific entities, etc.,) to form CII Chapter in Salem [able to
bring more than 25 companies in a record time of 2 ½ months.
Initiated the Industry interface to the Department / College by bringing CII, NIPM
(National Institute of Personnel Management) Salem Chapter monthly interactions among its
members, Salem District Small Scale Industries Association and Salem Productivity Council to
organize their programmes.
Our Institution is a Governing body member of Salem Productivity Council 2010-11 [at
present].
