Schrempp, Instructor)COPE # 56780-PO - Description: Corneal transplant surgery has changed dramatically in recent years giving rise to a very complex subspecialty. The main objective of this course is to help the primary care optometrist decide when to refer patients for corneal surgery while empowering them to direct what surgery is best in each unique case. We will focus on Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK), Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK), and posterior lamellar variants (DSAEK and DMEK). Videos, diagrams, and photos will be used to facilitate this objective.
