Pratique examen oral

Votre tâche : *Test takers

Prepare a possible oral presentation/discussion for EACH of these 4 photos as you would for an actual IB exam.

It may be on a full sheet of paper, but only NOTES (ex. key words, an outline to organize your thoughts, bullet points, etc) – Don’t write so much down that it’s more confusing than helpful

For this activity, you may use a dictionary, but remember that dictionaries are not allowed during the exam. Look up words you may have forgotten, but don’t waste brain space by trying to memorize a bunch of new words.

Tomorrow, Mme will give you one of these photos (you don’t get a choice) and you will present it, as you would for the IB exam, to groups of 3-4 who will aid you in the discussion part, take notes, ‘grade you’ and offer you genuine and sincere advice.

*Non test takers – think of at least 6 possible discussion questions for each photo that will help the presenter deepen his/her communication. You may change your questions, in fact are encouraged to, as the discussion part should be more like a conversation, not an interview nor a disjointed question and answer session.

Things to keep in mind...

Do not spend hours researching the subject.

What do you already know about the subject ? -Qu’est-ce que vous savez déjà à propos du sujet ?

What is your personal opinion about the subject ? -Quel est votre avis personnel du sujet ?

What might others say about the subject (if they agree with you or not)

What vocabulary might be useful to review to talk about the subject ? -Brainstorm questions that might be asked about the subject and at least envision how you might answer them.
