Planning for Senior year
Have your student get a planner or a calendar to mark important college/tech. school admissions, scholarship, and other deadline dates.
The student will need to find out the requirements of the colleges/tech schools they are interested in.
Students will need to start looking online NOW and request information on the programs that they are interested in.
It is important to know when the admission deadlines are and have everything required in on time.
If your student needs a recommendation from a teacher or counselor, it should be requested 2 weeks before it’s due to prepare.

ACT. . .
Juniors will be taking the ACT at school on April 2nd.
We are asking that the students who are taking the ACT on April 2nd to make sure they are at school on time and prepared.
This is a real ACT test and scores can be used for college and scholarship purposes.
![Page 12: Dobyns-Bennett Parent Meeting Class of 2014](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022062720/568133ad550346895d9abc45/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
More things to remember about Test Scores Make sure to plan and be prepared for taking the ACT
and, if needed, the SAT. If your student qualifies for financial assistance, then
they may be able to receive a fee waiver for the ACT and/or SAT.
Make sure your student takes what their college wants. Don’t keep repeating tests over and over. Take what
your student’s school needs and check for what your college or scholarships’ require.
Exam packets for the tests are limited. Online registration is preferred
