Estimados Feligreses,

Me gustaría compartir algunas ideas sobre cómo ser miembros de la Iglesia Católica. “El Bautismo, la

Confirmación y la Eucaristía son sacramentos de iniciación cristiana. Ellos fundamentan la vocación

común de todos los discípulos de Cristo, una vocación a la santidad y a la misión de evangelizar el

mundo. Confieren las gracias necesarias para la vida según el espíritu durante esta vida como

peregrinos en la marcha hacia la patria ”(CCC 1533).

Nosotros, como miembros de la Iglesia Católica, permitimos que estos sacramentos nos guíen para

ser miembros apropiados del cuerpo de la iglesia. El primer sacramento es el Bautismo y con él viene

un derramamiento del Espíritu Santo. Cuando nos bautizamos, recibimos nueva vida, nos

convertimos en miembros del Cuerpo de Cristo y nos convertimos en participantes de la nueva

creación. Podría preguntar: "¿Cómo puedo participar en la Iglesia cuando soy un bebé?" Este

atributo está en nosotros y debemos permitirlo crecer y participar en la Iglesia cuando se nos llame.

Nuestro llamado a servir puede ser cualquier cosa, desde ser monaguillo como un niño pequeño o

cualquiera de los muchos ministerios que tenemos para adultos.

Nuestro llamado al servicio se fortalece en el sacramento de la Confirmación. Por medio del Espíritu

Santo estamos ligados a la Iglesia y estamos obligados a testificar de Cristo. La confirmación nos

permite mantenernos firmes en nuestra fe en palabra y en acción. En la Iglesia Católica se nos da la

guía espiritual para vivir lo que hemos aprendido a lo largo de los años.

En el sacramento de la Sagrada Comunión, el precioso Cuerpo y Sangre de Jesús, recibimos el

alimento de una nueva vida como hijos de Dios. A través de la Comunión, Cristo une a todos los

bautizados en una sola fe en el Cuerpo Único, la Iglesia. Durante la Santa Comunión, nos

convertimos en un Tabernáculo viviente, una morada para Cristo. En ese mismo momento, estamos

unidos como un solo Cuerpo, un cuerpo de creyentes, un cuerpo de una sola fe.

Finalmente, los sacramentos de iniciación nos unen como uno a través del Espíritu Santo, trabajando

juntos en nuestros diferentes ministerios, para difundir Su mensaje a todos. Su gracia nos guía a

través de este viaje de la vida para hacer su voluntad y alcanzar la vida eterna en el cielo. Por favor,

responda al llamado de Dios sin importar en qué etapa de la vida se encuentre. Necesitamos ayudar

a construir el Cuerpo de la Iglesia, el Cuerpo de Cristo, juntos como uno.

Dear Parishioners,

I would like to share some insight on being members of the Catholic Church. “Baptism,

Confirmation, and Eucharist are sacraments of Christian initiation. They ground the common

vocation of all Christ’s disciples, a vocation to holiness and to mission of evangelizing the world.

They confer the graces needed for the life according to the spirit during this life as pilgrims on the

march towards the homeland.”(CCC 1533)

We, as members of the Catholic Church, allow these sacraments to guide us to be proper

members of the body of the church. The first sacrament is Baptism and with this comes an

outpouring of the Holy Spirit. When we are baptized we receive new life, become members of the

Body of Christ, and become participants in the new creation. You might ask, “How can I be a

participant in the Church as an infant?” This attribute is in us and we must allow it grow and

participate in the Church when we are called. Our calling to serve can be anything from being an

altar server as a young child or any of the many ministries we have for adults.

Our call to service is strengthened in the sacrament of Confirmation. Through the Holy Spirit we

are bound to the Church and we are compelled to witness to Christ. Confirmation allows us to stand

firm in our faith in word and in action. In the Catholic Church we are given the spiritual guidance to

live out what we have learned over the years.

In the sacrament of Holy Communion, Jesus’ precious Body and Blood, we receive the food of new

life as children of God. Through Communion, Christ brings all the baptized into one faith in the One

Body, the Church. During Holy Communion, we become a living Tabernacle, a dwelling place for

Christ. At that very moment, we’re united as one Body, a body of believers, a body of one faith.

Finally, the sacraments of initiations bring us together as one through the Holy Spirit, working

together in our different ministries, to spread His message to everyone. We are lead by his grace

through this journey of life to do his will and attain everlasting life in heaven. Please answer God’s

call no matter what stage of life you are at. We need to help build the Body of the Church, the Body

of Christ, together as one.
