"Eat, Pray, Sing" Wednesday nights beginning Wednesday, August 17th!

The Community Assistance Team (C.A.T. - a division of Outreach) is adding a potluck to our Wednesday Vespers and choir rehearsal night!. The potluck starts at 5:00pm and goes until the beginning of Vespers service at 6:00pm. Vespers is followed by Chancel Choir rehearsal at 7:00pm... hence the name "Eat Pray, Sing!": Eat at 5pm, Pray at 6pm and Sing at 7pm! Anyone is welcome to attend one, two or all three events on Wednesday's "Eat, Pray, Sing" nights. EAT - The 5pm "Eat, Pray, Sing" potluck is a place to come and eat, and visit with folks from our church and community. If you can bring a dish to share, we would greatly appreciate it, and will be in Fellowship Hall to re-ceive it by 4:45pm. We welcome you to bring any type of dish and also bring your own serving spoons. The Outreach Team will provide disposable plates, napkins, silverware, and cups. Please be prepared to "pack it in and pack it out"- bring it and take it back with you the same night. We won't be doing any dishes, and will send all leftovers home with you. Feel free to bring your CrockPot; we have plenty of places to plug them in! There will be a free-will donation basket available at all "Eat, Pray, Sing" potluck nights as well. Any money donated will help the Pastor’s Discre-tionary Fund. This fund is used for families, both in our own church and in the community, in urgent financial distress. (All donations are gladly accepted, but certainly not required. Please feel free to join us for a meal regardless of your contribution of money or food - just come and enjoy!) So, all we need is food, and a few people to come a bit early or stay a bit late for set up and take down! No sign up necessary, just show up. Our first potluck will be Wednesday, August 17th at 5:00pm, and will continue on a weekly basis every Wednesday! We hope to see you here. PRAY - As always, our Vespers Service takes place every Wednesday night at 6:00pm. This is a casual communion service lasting about 45 minutes, and includes informal prayer time and a short sermon by an SVUMC lay-speaker. SING - Chancel Choir Rehearsal begins in the Sanctuary at 7:00pm (immediately following Vespers), and is open to anyone who wants to

share God's joy through music! Please feel free to show up at any rehears-al and give it a try! So there you have it! Come one, come all, to one, two or all three events on Wednesday's "Eat, Pray, Sing" nights. Eat at 5pm, Pray at 6pm and Sing at 7pm! For any questions, please con-tact the Outreach Team/C.A.T at [email protected] or by calling the church office and leaving a message with ext. 409.
