Retaining Wall & FloorRetaining Wall:Treatment on + ve side:• Brush / spray application of impregnation product called

Protekta Base which fills the fine pores with crystalline silicate growth, coverage 2 Sq. M / Ltr.

• Brush application of one coat of Protekta Flexjoint on the construction joint only. Thickness of application will be approx. 0.5 mm.

• Plastering at the Starter Joint, Construction joints and any other defects like honeycombs, tie-rod locations etc with polymer sealant 500 modified mortar.

• Brush coat of Protekta Plastofelt primer• Brush coat of Protekta Plastofelt to provide a very strong

coating to resist hydrostatic pressure.• Brush coat of Protekta Top Seal Coat as hard layer. After the

application of this layer, plastering is not required.Treatment on –ve side: ·    Injections/Grouting at starter joint & construction joints with

Protekta Grip / Protekta Hydro Grout.

Page 6: Do it yourself Method statement

FloorTreatment on + ve side:• After PCC has been laid, grout Protekta SB mixed

with Protekta SS and catalyst at regular intervals of every 1 M center to center. This grout material has property of expanding when it comes in contact with water. It forms a water impervious layer and prevents travel of water to the top of PCC.

• Spray of Protekta Base on PCC surface towards porosity reduction.

• Application of a slurry prepared with Protex B & Protekta SLM. This layer is a hard layer & will be abrasion resistant.

• A coat of Protekta Ceal 540 on concreteTreatment on –ve Side• Injection/grouting at a regular intervals at all joints

between floor and column joints and construction joints

Podium Slab with Gutter (Hard & Soft Scapes)

Podium SlabAssumptions Made:• Gradient is provided in the slab at the time

of casting.• Water from this sloped surface flows into

the Gutters.• Ridge points are at the Podium Slab,

midway between the Gutters on either side.

Treatment Steps• Brush / spray application of crystallisation/gel formation

product called Protekta Base which fills the fine pores with crystalline silicate growth, coverage 2 Sq. M / Ltr.

• Brush application of one coat of Protekta Flexjoint on the construction joint only. Thickness of application will be approx. 0.5 mm.

• Plastering 6” wide at the construction joints.• Brush coat of Protekta Plastofelt to provide a very strong

flexible coating.• Application of Protekta Abrasion resist as hard layer. After

the application of this layer, plastering is not required.• Injections/Grouting at construction joints/cracks from below.

• Optional, a coat of Protekta Procoat or Protekta Wall Top

• Please note that we have not suggested any plastering on our treatment since the final surface is abrasion resistant.
