5. 40% of £12000
Example 110% of £2000£2000 ÷ 10 = £200
Example 2 30 % of £4000£4000 ÷ 10 = £4003 × £400 = £1200
Do it now task 2Convert the following to litres:
1. 2 gallons
2. 5 gallons
3. 10 gallons
4. 14 gallons
5. 40 gallons
1 gallon is approximately 4.5 litres
Example 3 gallons is 3 × 4.5 litres = 13.5 litres
