P.3 Vermosa Construction TeamP.4 VERMOSA CAMPUS MASTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN October 2015 The Sage Group Asia showed the first version of the Campus Development Master Plan design lay-out including the 1.2 hectares dormitory across the school campus. It also included the axis, zoning and circulation diagrams, entry/ exit points and the presentation of the accessibility map. November/ December 2015 With the approval of the first version, The Sage Group proceeded with the preparation of the design drawings of the Phase 1 project: Senior High School and The SPARK. Several meetings and research were facilitated by the Project Head among faculty and administration to ensure conformity to the required standards of the academic team. January/ February 2016 Ayala Land Inc. officially donated 6 hectares and offered the 1.7 hectares for purchase. The 1.2 hectares, originally intended as Athletes and Brothers’ Dormitory, was replaced with a smaller lot at the back of the Sports arena as the Athletes and Brothers’ Dormitory. With this, version 2 of the Campus Development was prepared not only for Phase 1 but also included the whole plan for phases 2 – 5. March 2016 – present From the 2 nd version of the Master Development plan, the preparations for the bidding were prepared including bid plans, queries and specifications as references for the selection of Contractor and for the application of the building permit. To date, the Vermosa Construction Team are working to complete Phase 1 and The Sage Team are currently finishing the Site Development and Road design. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

TEAM

BNProjekTechnik, also called BNPT, officially won the bid as the Construction Management Team (CMT) last March 2016. BNPT is not new to De La Salle as they are also currently working on the Br. Cannon Hall of DLSU Manila, Site Development of DLSU – Science & Technology Campus and completed on time the following buildings at DLS Lipa: Student Center, Sports Complex, Brothers’ House and CBEAM building. Engr. Balaoro, BNPT President, also offers training programs, consultation and seminar workshops on approaches, new techniques on project management at ADB, Ateneo and DLSU and also outside the Philippines. He is accompanied by his 3-man team to monitor the Vermosa Phase 1- project.

December 2015: An invitation for Pre-qualification of Bidders was given to 14 accredited contractors referred by De La Salle Philippines and 10 of the contractors submitted the documents for the prequalification process. January 2016 The Purchasing Office invited to the second batch of contractors and by the end of the month, the Bids Committee reviewed and gave the final list of contractors to the Vermosa Construction Team: a. After a series of meetings to get the final offer, Teodoro Construction finally won the bid to construct Phase 1: Senior High School and The SPARK buildings. The Contract signing was held at St. Mutien Marie building, DLSZ between the school and Teodoro Contruction last May 2, 2016.

The contract signing with Br. Bernard Oca FSC and Federick Teodoro and was witnessed by DLSZ Representatives - Charles Rapaport, Joneil Dulay, Tere Castaneda and Monica Martinez of Teodoro Construction.

As of this period, Teodoro Construction completed the installation of their modular office, Phase 1 perimeter fence, complied with government requirements and laid the bed for the foundation of the Senior High School.

February 2016 From the 11 contractors, a series of further assessment and screening were conducted by the Project Head and the School Architect until the list was trimmed down from 11 to 7 contractors. March 2016 When the services of BNPT was contracted, they pre-screened and checked the previous and current projects of interested contractors. From the original list of 7 contractors, 2 more contractors were eliminated from the list thus the remaining contractors were the following: a. Pacific Summit b. Dominic Construction c. Dreamwork

Construction d. H.L. Carlos e. Teodoro Construction These 5 contractors were invited to a pre-bid conference and site inspection last March 18, 2016 facilitated by the newly established Vermosa Construction Team.
