CASE STUDY
“IF YOU GREW UP IN THE STUDIO, PART OF THE SECRET WAS HOW YOU DID PARALLEL BUSS COMPRESSION. ON DLIVE, YOU CAN DO THIS ON EVERY CHANNEL WITHOUT
WORRYING ABOUT LATENCY - IT’S NATIVE TO THE CONSOLE.”
ARMANDO FULLWOOD – EXECUTIVE DIRECTORWAVE
The Requirement
Worship leader and Grammy-nominated GMA Dove Award-winning songwriter, Ricardo
Sanchez, embarked on a live recording of his latest album ‘Taste and See’. Ricardo
contacted Armando Fullwood, the Executive Director of WAVE in Harrisburg, North
Carolina, because of his work in House of Worship audio design.
Armando wanted a mixer with a great track record in church installations, which could
manage a high channel count, multiple means of audio transports for recording, and
have internal FX and processing with extremely low latency, but also have the capability
for external plugins while still using the mutli-track out for live recording to his preferred

The Solution
The dLive S7000 and DM64 MixRack were his console of choice. The mix was
designed to serve both the live audience and create an exciting environment for the
recording.
Some of the key features that helped make the decision for Fullwood were dLive’s
parallel buss compression on every channel and the side chain control on the gates on
inputs. With the system’s built in DEEP processing, and a low latency of <0.7ms,
Fullwood couldn’t have been happier.
In addition to Waves plugins, Fullwood also utilizes the same Waves V3 card for 128 bi-
directional multi-track recording capability.
