However, unfortunately, out ofdesparation or fear, there are always some "bad apples" that don't like to "play fair" andpropagate "incorrect information" to hurt their competition. I do not advocate this type ofbehavior or marketing strategy. That is not only bad business, but bad kharma. I believein playing fairly, ethically, and wanting everyone to win.

whole. Over the past 7 years of my promotional career, I have dedicated myself to tryingto bring something "different" and "fresh" to San Francisco that was missing. I knew thatI was going against the grain of San Francisco's "laid-back fashion" culture and "all aboutthe music" culture when I began promoting high-fashion, pretty people parties back in2001 and have been publicly bashed my entire career for trying to offer San Francisco a

"different" choice out of their city nightlife experience.

People who don't know me, but only see my pictures and the lifestyle I promote, arequick to judge me as superficial, pretentious, arrogant, conceded, greedy, and unethicalperson. For those "few" people who really know me as either a personal friend or as aprofessional peer who has worked closely with me knows the "real" Donovan who, I liketo believe, is a very profound, very selfless, very confident (yet at the same timeinsecure), very generous, and absolutely, most ethical person they know. Unfortunately,you cannot judge a book by its cover. Over the past 7 years, my mission has always beento support as many local San Francisco artists and businesses as my own business grewand became stronger. However, ironically, the stronger my business became and the more

people I tried to help in San Francisco along the way, the stronger and more harsh thepublic criticism and public slander I received. I am told by my friends and professionalpeers that this is a good thing and that I'm doing a "something right" if so many peopleare going out of their way to speak so vehemently negatively about me. I can't help butfeel hurt by all this public slander, but my spirit never sways. I try to keep my chin up andkeep marching forward towards my life-long mission: "Make San Francisco the mostdesirable place to live and party in the world."

Believe me, I made my mistakes in myearly years of producing New Year's Eve events. I had the great misfortune and heartacheof fielding upset emails and phone calls from customers who said I "ruined" their andtheir wives and friends' New Year's Eve because I didn't do this or didn't do that at myevent. Though these many years of trial by fire, no one is more qualified and experiencedat providing the hightest quality of customer service. I am extremely sensitive to the factthat people are paying a lot of money to have the time of their lives at our New Year'sEve party at City Hall. The last thing I want is for any of you to spend a lot of yourspecial night waiting in line to get a drink.

In order to ensure you and your friends are partying and not waiting in lines, we have"overhired" and "overstaffed" with more bartenders than industry standard to provide youwith the most number of bars and bartenders possible throughout City Hall. Three of the cities top event producers, Donovan, Nate Mezmer & Mike Fitzgerald, arejoining forces with The Spinsters of San Francisco and SOMA Magazine, to produce thefinal New Years Eve party ever at City Hall.

San Franciscos City Hall is truly an architectural masterpiece and offers a magicalsetting to help usher in an inspired 2009. The building, created in 1915 during the briefCity Beautiful movement is an awesome work of art and boasts a ceiling structure over300 feet high - the fifth largest dome in the world with a comfortable capacity of 3,000guests.
